i got the keratin treatment & brazilian blow up & hair cut, i was a little nervous as i have never got this treatment before & my hair is color treated & damaged /dry , he did a amazing job i felt like a movie star . his salon is super gorgeous , big mirrors full length , big windows with lots of light , very private & personal, he even squeezed me in last minute , & didnt mind i was running 15 minutes late , he was vert patient & serious about his work , yet down to earth & easy to talk to if you had any questions . he served coffee /water , he offered ofocurse i said yes that was delicious too. i requested some soothing jazz music , but it was very quiet initially . it was very clean with a very good aura . he is very talented & professional with fair prices . i had a great time & i loveee the end result & he also did not push products or other services on me & he could have because i was inquiring he was honest , always good to find a stylist not trying to make the most $ or push products . i will deff be going back & its in a awesome area upper east side . 60th street & lex about . hope this helps ! good luck (: its deffintely quality care & worth it. im from NYC & have been getting salon treatments for ever so i would know good service . love janaire j york...

My hair is naturally thick and dry. I searched through the best salons that can straighten hair (and have good reviews) and came across this place. The service is good. Both ms Selva and the owner did my hair. They were very kind people offering water here and then. I am a completely different person now and it’s all thanks to them. Unfortunately I didn’t ask to part my hair to the side so it looked kind of odd, but I parted it myself and it looks better now :) This salon is by far the only one that hasn’t disappointed me. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is because it’s pricey. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. And I paid for a really good deal, but I still think $398 is a bit too much. I guess it’s understandable because my hair is naturally thick. But I personally wouldn’t come back for that reason. Other than that, no complaints. Thank you so much

Heavy edit: It didn’t last for long. I used my hair straightener to straighten it a little bit but it wasn’t the same look as before. Also the keratin creme or whatever it was that I received started causing me to itch around my neck. I really enjoyed my time in the hair salon but it’s such a shame that the results did not...

This review comes with ABSOLUTELY no malice towards the stylist, his professionalism, or the business in question. I called ahead to stop by the salon for a general consultation after seeing the extensive services list and all of these amazing reviews online. I have healthy type 3b/3c combination hair (pictured is air dried, no product) and was told there are absolutely no services that would suit my hair type here. Not styling, straightening, color- nothing! After planning my weekend around what salon I would go to for a consultation with limited free time, and several phone calls to arrange that I could be seen, it was really disappointing to be told my hair is too difficult to do in person (it’s not). So if your hair is similarly textured to mine or you have tighter curls/ coils, you will have to look elsewhere.
