WORST $200 haircut I have ever had! Upon relocating to NYC I was recommended to Jo (the owner) by someone who was a client of hers for many years. Knowing that I was in much need of a good haircut I trusted Jo to fix me up. Before she began I explaining to her that I recently had several bad haircuts and told her that I like to curl my hair everyday. She said "you need layers" and whacked away two huge chunks of my hair without any detailed work or framing of my face. I actually had to request for her to texturize at all. Worst of all she had cut my bangs so extremely short I can't even curl them without looking completely silly. Mind you I have long hair and there was no blending of layers OR the bangs from super short to super long. Making matter worse, I was in her chair for no more than 15 minutes total for cut. Knowing that I was begging for a good haircut, I was recommended to her, and she is the owner I would expect to be treated better than this! I was so upset with the entire experience, I felt like crying. I walked in my apartment door and the first words out of my husbands mouth were "what happened to your hair". Two days later I was calling a stylist at another salon to fix her mess because I couldn't stand my hair unless it was in a ponytail. He took the time to show me all the things that were wrong with the cut and unfortunately the only good solution was to bring up my length several inches to try to blend the short layers better. There was no hope for the bangs and unfortunately I am stuck with short hair until it grows back :( Horrible experience and will never...
Read morei am actually really happy with how my hair turned out but they did a sort of shady upcharge that i hadn't budgeted for and it left a really bad taste in my mouth. i booked via classpass so they knew what i had purchased (single process) when i walked in. then when they're more than halfway done with my hair i'm told that what they're in the middle of doing is more than i paid for and that there would be another $55 fee. i agreed because i saw what he was saying, it was taking a long time, but you have to disclose that at the beginning - if i had known about the charge, i would have gotten something else or honestly may have just walked out, the only reason i was there was because my classpoint credits were going to expire. also we were only using two different colors because they said they didn't have enough of one of the dyes, so i was being lenient agreeing to two colors, then i get punished for it. i didn't want to be stingy so i tipped on what the whole thing would have cost without any discounts so in the end i was out $100 more than i was expecting to pay. will never be back, though again, the hair does look pretty good hah. just make sure if you go you triple confirm what...
Read moreMy first time Dop Dop and I’ve never been more pleased . From the start, Lucky answered all my questions over the phone with expertise and based on what I was wanting to change with my very fine blonde hair, paired me with Master artist Eddie. Match made in HEAVEN!
Eddie listened to all my concerns throughout the consultation never rushing me, help me streamline my vision with pictures he found, broke down the prices beforehand mentioning what is included (so many salons don’t & he was great about it) & we got started with my full foil highlight ice blonde transformation! His careful attention to detail proved his master skill level long before the reveal.
This salon uses superior products, featuring high end Kerastase products as well as Olaplex, etc. I was impressed with the fusio dose deep treatment he put on my hair as well.
As far as hospitality goes, Lucky, Jeremiah, & Eddie were beyond expectation & my hair came out better than I ever imagined! I also met the owner who was very kind. I like that she personally walked around to check on the clients. Eddie ensured this is my new salon home.
Thank you Eddie & the...
