I visited this place on Oct 3rd '24 a quite Thursday afternoon around 2pm. I initially went in and asked if I could sit outside. The host (I'm assuming he was wearing a suit and was older than the other waiters) asked me "Sit outside for lunch ?" I said yes and he said of course and led me outside. When I sat down I asked him for a cappuccino and fries and he was very annoyed, he said "that's it ? That's not lunch but sure" and quickly took my menu away. I said it was my lunch (because that's all I wanted.) and he stormed off. Also, as you can see from my photos, the place was almost entirely empty save for 3 or 4 people so it's not like I was keeping "better customers" away. The waiter was very nice, he smiled but spilled the coffee and didn't offer to change my plate or anything. The fries were good and they came to quickly and of course soho is beautiful as is their outside seating but I felt judged the whole time. When I was done the host came back and asked if I needed anything else, I asked for the check and he returned with a terminal that he kept pointing at me so I selected cash and he got so angry and yelled "Nooo you can't touch it!" I asked why he was pointing it at me then and he said "just ao you can see." (??!) I payed and used the restroom, and he was standing opposite the door on the other side of the restaurant just watching me and smirking. I felt so uncomfortable, everyone else was so nice and he made me feel soo uncomfortable. My friend was going to host her b day dinner there, but neither me or my friends will not be returning. It's a shame, otherwise a very nice place if you get lucky and go on a day when that guy isn't working, or you're hungry than I was đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïž

I fully recommend this place. đŸ„°âšœïžWent to this awesome restaurant today with some fellow researchers for the France vs. Netherlands game today for a needed break. We had the wrong time for our reservation, but we're able to finagle a way to still watch part of the game. If you go for an event, make sure to make a reservation and check the times for when you want to be there. Like most places in NYC who are playing sporting events, your reservation will last during the game time. The next round of reservation will be booked and they get packed but you can order from the bar; and if there is room, you may stand there or sit at the bar. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is perfect. Our waiters were attentive and kind. It was a very high energy time for the France game but the staff were excellent at maintaining the space and preventing over crowding but still allowing for a full and friendly experience. One aspect I really loved-- being from New Orleans and always seeking francophone experiences wherever I go-- was the community or patrons there. It is a special experience to see the families and customers who have been going there for decades. Even if not for a game, I wholly believe that a great meal will be had. For the game, we absolutely loved the idea of these enormous wine bottles and the absolute deft and graceful way the waiter was even able to pour it for a tasting before. Best ever. Definitely je t'aime, FĂšlix!

The establishment is clean. The music is very loud. And the tables are extremely close together. Might as well sit at one big community table. But I guess that’s nyc for you, am I right?! The server wasn’t nice. He was quite dry and when he wasn’t dry, he was rude. Maybe he thought it came off playfully, but I didn’t feel that. The food isn’t good. lol because no one’s plate looked really appetizing (as we walked to our table scoping out the place and food) we figured to all get the same thing that looked the most appetizing. Steak and fries because how could you mess up meat and potatoes? lol well this place did. The skirt steak was dry and rubbery and I asked for temp medium and my friends ordered medium rare. It was just tough, oddly enough. Crab balls. Save yourself and don’t get it. They tasted like some store bought frozen food aisle snack that someone would buy and eat on a desperate night. The “Asian” sauce that’s drizzled on top is awfully sweet. I think the best thing was the soda and French onion soup that smelled amazing as soon as the cheese topping was broken. Everything else. Bleh. Not worth it. Just loud and unseasoned.

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. Definitely the worst brunch experience I’ve ever had all over the world.

We had a reservation for 2 for brunch on a Sunday which is usually pretty bumping. The place was full and a big lineup waiting. Got seated right away and it was super lively. Service started off quite good and friendly, we ordered brunch, cocktails and a bottle of rosĂ©. Food came fast, both had steak frites. Steaks were undercooked and very rare (asked for medium). Food 1.5/5 Espresso martini was surprisingly good. Mimosa was good. Bottle of rosĂ© was average, however at the 30 min mark a server came and said they had a large group that needed a table and asked us to move to the bar. Which by the bar they mean stand up at the doorway, since there’s only like 4 bar stools and they’re all in use. I was pretty shocked at that point cause I told them we had a reservation and we hadn’t finished our bottle of rosĂ©. He said if we moved he would give us a free drink
which I found a little insulting as we had already bought a bottle of rose which we hadn’t finished and we’re working on still so I asked if they could move us to a different table so they could have ours for a big group. He said he would try but no guarantees
so I told him I didn’t want to move to the bar but would prefer to stay seated as we weren’t done eating and drinking. We were then told that there’s a seating time limit, so I told him we have only been seated for 20 minutes, so they checked and came back and said we were right, but said they’d really appreciate us moving to the bar. In the end, it just made the whole episode and brunch so unpleasant we just decided to leave. They didn’t bother trying to comp our food or any drinks, which was ridiculous as they basically kicked us out after 20 minutes. I did ask to speak to the manager and they said they were sorry, but there’s nothing they can do
really? A bit of a joke. I told them that’s pretty horrible service and the manager shrugged and actually said “this is Felix”. So I guess that’s pretty standard...

Terrible Experience! Worst possible service in NYC! Please run away! Booked a Sunday dinner table for a large party through Resy 5 weeks in advance. Called in several times to confirm the reservation and received different responses about what time the kitchen closes. There was so much miscommunication among stuff - it is obviously their job to know that the kitchen is open or closed at 6pm on a Sunday! Once we arrived, we friendly greeted the bouncer, mentioned we have a dinner reso but he was obnoxious to us. We had to wait for 30min outside in the cold to be seated in their outdoor heated cabana. Food was bad and our server kept forgetting half of the drinks and utensils. Some of the drinks arrived 50min late! After we were done with dinner, the staff told us about bottle service to move us to the party indoors. We ordered bottles, gave them my id and credit card, and the manager moved us to the table. Everything was fine until the owner, an old obnoxious short guy, showed up out of the blue, stopped us and asked us to leave immediately! For no reason - he kept yelling that he is the one who tells us what to do. I WAS SHOCKED! Never have been treated like that. I demanded my credit card and id back since no service had been provided. When the manager came and explained to him that we had already ordered bottle service and she had shown us to the table he told us we can go back. We obviously left immediately and went to a nearby bar to continue the night. The old owner is truly mentally unstable and rude. Will never go back! I was so shocked and upset! He ruined a fun night of celebrations for...
