My daughter has spoken very well about this place so as I was visiting we decided to go there for dinner. we had called and made reservations but was not existent, so we had to sit up front instead of in the back as we had requested. I will tell you this food is very good we had the duck mole enchiladas: mole was sweet and smooth and the duck was well done, tacos al pastor flavor was good but to greasy, the five salsa plate is not worth $5.00 box is a tablespoon serving per flavor not worth the price. Charge $5 but give a larger amount Chiles and ingredients are not expensive. flavor was excellent but not the price. If you are serving margaritas please train your bar tender and not because you have a party you leave the waiter to do the drinks where clearly he didn’t knew how to execute, the margarita had soooo much lemon juice and no rim of salt that I had to give him the recipe on how to do it. I would have given a higher rate but if you are having a party and you are going to blast your music don’t open to the public, the music was so loud that we eat and left so fast that we didn’t enjoy our meal. We couldn’t even have a descent conversation, Waiter was non existent do to your party that the waiter/ Bar man was taking care of everything. not really giving us service. As I said before food is good but you need to have some training or higher more servers when you have an event. or close if you can’t give good service to your paying costumers.

By day, this place is a delicious restaurant with authentic Mexican cuisine, and by night, it transforms into an energetic nightclub with a Latin vibe. I initially visited this place for their late-night party and fell in love with the vibe and had to return to try the restaurant, which did not disappoint! Restaurant: 🇲🇽 As a Mexican, I can say that their food tastes like home! They offer dishes from all over Mexico, including northern, central, and southern specialties. 🌮Their tortillas are 10/10, and the tacos are filling and flavorful, with each order coming with 4. 🍸The cocktails are strong and tasty, with my favorite being the tamarind margarita with Tajín rim. Here are some details about the nightclub: 🪅Open from Friday to Sunday 🪩From 11 PM to 3 AM, but you can arrive as early as 7 PM/8 PM for dinner and stay for the party. Reservations can be made through Resy. 💃🏻The music is mostly reggaeton and other Latin genres. 👛 The space is small, so it's best to come light, although they do have a coat check. 👠>👟 The dress code is casual, but hoodies and caps are not allowed. 🍸 The drinks are strong and tasty. 🥸There is a cover charge at the entrance. 🪪You must be 21+ and show ID to enter. Every time I visit, I feel like I'm back in Mexico because of the food, the atmosphere, and the friendly staff. Highly recommended for a fun night out!

This is simply one of the best places in Soho on so many levels. The Mexican food is some of the most delicious and authentic you will find in Manhattan, the atmosphere brings out the best of Mexico (I know, I've lived there a couple of years), the staff is both welcoming, warm, professional and real. The owner Thierry adds a touch of charisma, style and joy to the already fun and festive atmosphere. I warmly recommend the chicken with mole poblano, but I'd go with tacos al pastor or carnitas just as well. And if you don't want to wash it down with the wide selection of exquisite tequilas or Mexican beers ask for the Agua de Jamaica (non alcoholic) juice!

This review will be a long one, because there is just so much to say, but if you’re in a hurry, at least know this: the city health inspectors need to shut this place down.

Looking back, maybe when the hostess greeted us with “do you have a living social deal”, I should have taken that as a bad sign. But, anyway…

Impressed that their happy hour is listed to go until 8pm, when most end at 7, a friend and I decided to book an early 6pm table. We made the most of happy hour, slowly working our way through the exotic margarita menu. We were, unfortunately, less than impressed with the overly sugared and syrupy drinks, but we thought, "hey, you can't complain when their only 6 bucks a pop.”

The guacamole, salsa and chips we ordered were similarly disappointing, both tasting bland and pre-packaged, like something you could pick up at a supermarket.

By the time we got around to ordering dinner, our expectations were already pretty low. But, the food not only tasted bad, it was, well, bad. The fish tacos tasted like they were made with days old fish and the tortillas were stale. I got through less than one of them, as did my friend, but that was enough to make us sick the rest of the night. No joke.

When the bill arrived we were surprised to see that $6 happy hour margaritas were actually $12. Thinking there must be some mistake, we asked our waitress about it and we were told that happy hour only takes place in the front of the restaurant – we were, apparently, 5 ft from ‘happy hour zone’. We told her that we were unaware of any such policy, and she told us it would have been listed where we booked. So, I pulled up their page on open table (where we booked) on my phone and seeing no mention of it, I asked her to show me where it was. She then replied, “Oh, it’s not on Open Table but it is on our website”. So, I pulled up their website on my phone and again, saw no mention of it. When I asked her to show me where it was, she offered to get the manager instead.

The manager arrived with what can only be described as an aggressive and indignant attitude. He informed us that he didn’t need to show us the announcement on their website because it was on their sign at the bar. I asked him to show me that, and, to be fair, on blackboard by the bar which you probably wouldn’t see unless you were sitting at a bar, amongst some crowded text there was one small line saying that happy hour was from 5pm to 8pm at the bar. When I pointed out that a customer who had booked a table would not have any reason to seek out this sign, and we had been told there was an statement on their website, which turned out not to be true, he got really aggressive, telling me that I shouldn’t care about happy hour and that there were ‘people like me in the world’. Whatever that means.

Seeing that this conversation was going nowhere, my friend and I just decided to leave. As she walked past him he literally shoved her towards the door and screamed at her over and over again, to ‘never come back’. Why he was so aggressive towards her when I was the one discussing the matter with him, I have no idea. We think this manager, who called himself, Thierry, might actually have some significant psychological issues.

All in all, this was quite seriously the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in New York City. And, let’s face it, that’s saying something.

If you want rude service, bad food, and food poisoning, this is the place for you. If, however, you’re looking for a nice meal, nice people, and a nice time, you’ll need to...
