We love eating Indonesian food out! Recently we were all set to go to Asian Taste 86 on a Tuesday only to realize they are closed that day. We decided to try their store across the street, Asian Taste Store. The store itself is small, but they have a terrific selection of Indonesian items along with some prepared foods. Whenever I eat Indonesian food, one of my favorite things are the sauces they serve on the side. When I had a fried duck dish, it was a spicy green one. With the satay I had a fire-hot sauce that was amazing. With the whole fried fish I had another Sambal. I talked with the woman working in the store, and she suggested a jar of the Sambal. It looks like a homemade ball-jar. ($10). I purchased this and we made an amazing roasted chicken dinner & rice with this Sambal. Wow. Wow. Wow. Today, one week later, that first jar is gone.
