A corner deli with groceries. Inside is reasonably clean and uninspired, not that a deli or bodega really needs a slick feel to it. Everything costs $1 or $2 more than it reasonably should ie $2 for a can of soda, Gatorade or bag of chips, $3 for an energy drink, $9 for a sandwich and chips etc. They also have smoothies and blended veg and kale and all that, but that's not really my bag.
It's kind of difficult to order because you need to wait for someone to acknowledge you, and they'll often disappear and ignore you for awhile. There's one guy that always has some dickish comment for me, like giving me crap about having my name tag on, or ordering a fatty sandwich with a diet coke, or giving me part of my change, then asking "don't you want the rest?" when I turn to go. You know; dickish.
It's location is super convenient to my workplace, but if it wasn't for that...
Read moreThe people who work here are so nasty and rude it makes you never want to shop here no matter how convenient. There’s a girl and a guy who work the counter the girl has a nasty attitude and acts like everyone who comes to shop there personally came to ruin her day. The boy is usually there at night and he’s usually more focused on whatever sports game is playing on the TV you gotta wait for him to finish before he speaks to you. The guy making the sandwiches makes horrible sandwiches stingy with the ingredients like they’re not charging $10 for a sandwich that should be $6. They don’t tell you the prices for anything and even if you get the same thing every day you will pay something different every time. They are just not worth it. One block down there is a better deli where the food doesn’t come with a stink attitude to...
Read moreI will never shop at this place again, even though it is conveniently located to my residence. The man just charges you whatever he feels like it... He does not ring up individual items. He just enters a final number and says that is what you owe. I literally bought: 3 individual size gatorades, 3 small individual cereals (60gs), 1 personal size bag of lays potato chips ($1.59), and 1 bag of gummy bears ($2.69)... And the man charged me $21. Gatorade is at worst $2.50 and individual cereals are at most $2.00. There is no way that the total should be $21. It is a the principle of the matter why this is problematic... This is totally unethical!!! So never again will I ever shop there. And if I can just sway one person to avoid this place, then I will have done my good deed...
