This is the type of book store you'd expect to find in your favorite museum. This is one of 3 locations, the other 2 are Los Angeles (Beverly Hills), and Tokyo. While primarily art and photography books, you may also find some very cool cookbooks, poetry, and collectibles, like a signed photo of Patti Smith, or a limited run of miniature Warhol Brillo Boxes. Went to a book signing for Sofia Coppola’s archive, brought my own copy because I bought it a year ago and wanted it signed. Waited in the line for over 5hrs just for them to tell me that you could ONLY get the archive signed that you bought that same day as I was finally walking into the store. I genuinely don’t understand what the issue was. Basically I had to purchase the same book AGAIN just to get it signed when the whole time I had my own with me? I was really disappointed and stood there for hours waiting...

Was here for a book signing for Linda Evangelista. Waited outside in the 90+ degree heat for 2 1/2 hrs. Line barely moved. At 8pm, someone came outside and said they had no more books (apparently only ordered 180) and that Linda had to leave at 8pm. They had us all standing outside in the heat knowing full well that the vast majority were not getting books or getting signatures from Linda. Terrible planning.
