WXOU Bar — Restaurant in New York

I went drinking at this spot with my friends late night. We were having fun to say the least because we always make the best out of everytime we hang out. But the bartender had a nasty attitude, some older guy. Fast forward to the time they close, I ended up leaving my wallet on the bar top. Next day after or so I come back to pick it up to see that money and my special fair fares metrocard was taken from inside. I mentioned it on a couple of occasions to the managers and what not, saying they will check the cameras and see what happened. I never got called back, they don't care about your belongings, worst of all they allow their employees to steal. I don't recommend this bar, I didn't like the vibes, always brushing me off. Drink some where else n watch your belongings.

Watched the grumpy bartender, who others have referenced in previous reviews, scream at a group of 4 women who were seated at a table to "KEEP YOUR VOICES DOWN!" The bar came to an awkward stand-still after this aggressive outburst, as the group of women were only partaking in normal conversation.

Horrified, my party of five decided to walk out.

It was embarrassing for a grown man to publicly scold these women like mere school children for doing nothing more than talking amongst themselves.

Our founding fathers created this great country on 4 simple tenets: life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and the right to talk like you aren't in a library when out at a bar on Saturday at 11pm.

The atmosphere was perfect including a jukebox which I loved the most, but the bartender’s behavior spoiled everything. Me and my friend were in city for just a few days trying to explore the city. In our last day in new york we decided to go to this bar. We didn’t know about the tips culture here and therefore we just paid for our drinks. Then, we realized that the bartender was ignoring us deliberately because of tips. Even if we told that we were gonna give tips too so we could get new drinks, he just ignored us again and made us leave the bar.
