Broadway-Laffeyete Streets is situated in the Lower East Side and is used often during rush hour. B trains operate here during Weekdays, service is suspended during Weekends, Weeknights, and Holidays. D trains operate here at all times except when there are works being done causing these trains to run on the A and F lines. M trains only operate here during weekdays. F trains operate here at all times, except when there are works being done, trains will either run on the Q and D lines or the C line and then it's regular route.
Ever since the station was given the upgrade, it has made this place much more reliable and nicer to use, but like every station in the New York City Subway, it has a rat problem. The complex comprises two stations, Bleecker Street (IRT) and Broadway–Lafayette Street (IND). The transfer between the downtown IRT platform and the IND platform has been within fare control since May 19, 1957, and the corresponding free transfer from the uptown IRT platform to the rest of the station opened on September 25, 2012.
