Carrusel Child Care Center Brooklyn — Local services in New York

At the start of our childcare journey we toured several daycares in Greenpoint and left thinking that daycare wasn’t the right option for us. We ended up using a nanny but our son was showing signs that he wanted more social interaction and to learn more. Many moms in the neighborhood told me about how much they love Carrusel so I signed up for the waiting list. After waiting several months we got a call that a spot had opened. From the first moment that we stepped into Carrusel we could immediately tell that this was not like the daycares we had visited before. There was a warm and happy energy buzzing through the building.

Now, everyday that we drop off our son at Carrusel I feel truly lucky. While we work it is comforting to know that he is having so much fun and learning (in Spanish!!). Dancing, yoga, cooking, obstacle courses, experiments… I love to check the stories to see what fun they had every day. They celebrate every season and holiday and it is so cute to see the different projects that the teachers come up with. Also the food they prepare on site for this kids is amazing, healthy, and diverse! At night he comes home happy, which is the most important thing. Ede, Moni, Ibeth, and the rest of the amazing crew really seem to meet every child where they are. The love and care they have for the kids is genuine and I cannot imagine a better daycare...

This is the best child care center/escuelita ever!

As a Spanish speaking family we were NOT looking for a Spanish speaking center. We were ACTIVELY looking for more exposure to English… But Carrusel was simply so above anything else out there that we had to get him here.

Best decision ever. Carrusel has a holistic and caring approach. Amazing loving teachers and vibes; a clean, calm and organized space; perfectly designed activities (music, nature, playing, dancing, discovery, numbers and letters, exercise, crafts, interacting…) and pedagogical approach and food… oh, food is as it should be, an important pillar of live, home made, diverse and balanced and offering kids an experience of cooking and caring about eating. And communication with us parents.

It just simply checks all the boxes and above. Plus the community around Carrousel is simply fantastic. Best friends for our kid and great families to rely on.

We’ll miss them all when we have to leave. I can’t recommend Carrusel enough

Ed, Moni, and the entire team are truly incredible—kind, patient, and deeply committed to every child’s well-being. They’ve provided my kids with not just consistent, loving care but also an environment where they’ve truly thrived.

The small class sizes make such a difference, and the attention to each child’s growth is evident in so many ways. My daughter speaks fluent Spanish (which still amazes me!), and I’ve watched both of my kids pick up little habits that show just how much care and structure Carousel provides—putting shoes away in a specific spot, zipping up their jackets just so. It’s the kind of detail that tells you they’re learning not just academics but also independence and responsibility in the sweetest way.

And let’s talk about the food! The meals here are so good—thoughtful, nutritious, and prepared with love. It’s just one more example of how Carousel goes above and beyond.
