This place is completely disorganized. I called this morning to confirm my appointment, the call center agent let me know that my appointment had to be rescheduled because the sonographer isn’t in on Mondays. The guy tells me he’s scheduling for Thursday. Then he calls back and says Thursday is blocked off so to reschedule again. After over an hour of back and forth, the doctor still “agrees” to see me at my original appointment and she will perform any imaging needed. I showed up to my appt 3 min after the courtesy window and they refused to see me after waiting 2 weeks for this appointment. I traveled an hour and a half for my appointment and obviously unforeseen circumstances happen when you’re on the highway. Not only was this a complete misuse of my entire morning, this was also a huge inconvenience traveling into the city just to be turned away. Then they tried to schedule my for 2 weeks out (again) as if I would actually return. After countless messages regarding the $40 fee is you no-show, you would think they would want to see patients. I went to the 57th Street office for my appointment arriving almost 30 minutes early. It was obviously a new office location based on my interaction with the staff which you could tell were all new. Something seemed off because they didn’t require any patient history forms like most doctor offices. Everyone was very nice but when they found out the substance I was addicted to, the psychiatrist came in and told me she couldn’t help me because she had no training in that area. Their website says they provide addiction services! Seems like they could have figured this out when the appointment was made about a week earlier. Instead, my wife and I wasted our time and energy getting ready and traveling to this appointment. I’m sure the doctor could have made an exception and prescribed at least a non-controlled substance which would have provided some relief for my symptoms but she was too focused on her liability to do so. I recommend if you’re not prepared to deal with a bunch of (very nice) rookies then you search for another office and not...

I read the reviews before going , they were great , I got there 3:30 for a 3:40 appt , and waited until 4:30 to be brought in to the examination room , there I waited extra 10mins ( so about 1hr til I saw the Dr) I was about to leave but when the doctor came in and started asking many many many questions I am glad I didn’t leave. I have seen many Drs trying to find the best PCP for me and I think I have found him. So many times as a patient you wait wait and wait then get rushed by the Dr, never expressing all the things you have questions on. I see why I waited 1hr …Dr Mateo gives that level of inquisitive care to everyone, and I can definitely appreciate that.
