The BEST doctor I have ever had!

As someone who has anxiety in medical situations and being pregnant with my first baby, I was especially nervous about what it'd be like throughout pregnancy and the labor and delivery experience. I wanted a doctor who could not only provide excellent medical care but who would also be understanding of my anxiety.

Dr. Brennan and his wife, Jais, went above and beyond anything I could have dreamed of. As my husband now says...there is no doctor that will ever meet my standards again after having been a patient of the Brennans.

Here are the highlights of what made our experience so wonderful: -Their bedside manner is as kind, caring, and attentive as a family member would be. They genuinely cared about us and our baby. I felt more like a friend than a patient. -During our first appointment, they provided us with each of their personal cell phone numbers and said to call for anything at any time, no matter how big or small our questions may be. And unlike many offices these days, they actually answered or would return our calls very promptly. This is even more impressive considering their demanding schedules with other patients. -When I went into labor, Dr. Brennan was my biggest advocate at the hospital. We had discussed delivery options based on my situation, and when things didn't go as planned at the hospital, Dr. Brennan advocated for what I needed and wanted in that delivery room. -After giving birth, Dr. Brennan and Jais continue to be available to us for my postpartum care. He even dropped by my suite at the hospital to simply check in to see how we were all doing. It was the nicest surprise. -During one of my appointments, I felt so overwhelmed and began crying. Jais spoke to me like a sweet friend and Dr. Brennan came back into the room to address any of my concerns. It felt more like a therapy session than a check-up. -Other reviews mention wait time and so I want to touch on that. We did often wait 15 - 30 minutes for our appointment but the care they provide is more than worth the wait. Plus, I have found that we would have experienced similar or even longer wait times for any doctor and so this never bothered us. -Since Dr. Brennan is a solo practitioner, our appointments occasionally needed to be rescheduled due to him going into the hospital for a delivery. This was rare. It happened maybe three times throughout my entire pregnancy (and I had weekly appointments for the last 20 weeks). And they always did whatever they could to ensure our needs were still being met.

The only thing that disappoints me is knowing that if we decide to have another baby, due to us moving out of the city, we won't be able to have Dr. Brennan and Jais as our providers. I am hard-pressed to believe that my pregnancy or delivery would have been as positive of an experience had it not been for them! I will be...

Dr. Brennan and team provide the service, care and expertise that every family deserves, especially as you navigate pregnancy and childbirth. Dr. Brennan has delivered both of my babies and cared for us through both of my pregnancies. We always felt welcomed and were provided the most personal, professional and knowledgeable care throughout the stages of pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and post-partum. It is rare to find a Dr. and practice like his and if you're looking for that personal care without the politics and corporate pressure of the larger practices, you will enjoy the experience with Dr. B so much.

Dr. Brennan has a calm confidence about the entire journey of pregnancy and birth and he and Jais are unique in that they genuinely want to know you, your family and your needs/concerns/preferences about the experience. We couldn't wait to return to their practice for our regular visits when I became pregnant with our second daughter. Dr. Brennan makes himself available to you for anything and everything and takes the time you need to make you feel comfortable and informed throughout.

Both of my birth experiences were phenomenal and I felt like a VIP at Lenox Hill because I was a patient of Dr. Brennan's (the nurses there request to care for his patients because they love him so much!). His bedside manner is professional and caring and he is very well-respected by the entire staff at the hospital. He takes charge in the delivery room to ensure that you and your baby are safe and comfortable throughout. My labor progressed quickly while at home during my second delivery. Dr. Brennan rode with us in our car from Brooklyn, called ahead to the head nurse in L&D at Lenox Hill to provide the most efficient check in and setup for me at the hospital when we arrived. That is the type of personal attention and care he provides which saved me a lot of time and pain than if we had just gone on our own.

I can't recommend him enough. If you are looking for a Dr. who is experienced and no-nonsense but also really listen to your needs, concerns and apprehensions, go meet Dr. Brennan. He is up front about which tests you need and don't need and has advanced equipment in his office which saves you from having to go to the hospital for each of the scans. But, his practice is small and intimate and he and Jais (his wife) have dedicated their lives to their patients...

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Brennan and his practice. As a first time mom delivering in NYC, the process of finding a doctor was daunting. Then I stumbled across Dr. Brennan and made an appointment. I am a working professional in the area, and the combination of the positive reviews I heard, the office location (Boerum Hill within walking distance of Brooklyn Heights) and his delivery privileges at Lenox Hill suggested that this might be the place for us. And it was at the first appointment that we knew we made the right choice.

This is a small practice, and Dr. Brennan is a solo practitioner. Dr. Brennan's wife Jais is the nurse at the practice, and she's right there by his side at every appointment. Together they answered all of our questions and fostered a relaxed, informative and nurturing environment throughout my pregnancy. As the delivery date approached, Dr. Brennan and Jais put me at ease. I attribute a large part of my uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery (at 37) to their care. At the first appointment, Dr. Brennan gave us his cell phone number and let us know that no question was trivial. And when I called him the morning my water broke, our conversation gave me reassurance to know that he would be right there with me. Dr. Brennan knows all of the staff members at Lenox Hill, and together they kept us informed from the moment we arrived at the hospital. My significant and I do not have family in the area, and we considered a doula given that this was our first baby. In the end I am glad we decided against it because I received all of the car and support I needed from Dr. Brennan, Jais and later the staff that worked with him a Lenox Hill. Even after the delivery of our beautiful and healthy baby girl, Dr. Brennan and Jais have been there during the recovery process and continued to answer all of my questions and provide excellent care. As Dr. Brennan only uses his hands during delivery, my recovery was much faster than most.

You won't go wrong with Dr. Brennan. I highly recommend him if you are looking for an OB. There is no question about where we will be if we are lucky enough to extend our family. I already miss seeing Dr. Brennan and Jais - they were like our extended...
