I work at a nearby shelter/soup kitchen and one of our guests was having a medical emergency outside. We called 911 and were waiting for help to come when I saw a fire truck that was passing by. I flagged them down and to my surprise they stopped and offered assistance even though they weren't officially responding to the call (if that makes sense). Anyway, I'm grateful for their willingness to stop and help, because I know that not everyone would have. They were from Ladder 18. Thanks...

I love this station house. They are great people and great with the family and kids. This is a go to place for my son, and they are always so nice and interactive with the kids it is amazing to see.
