WARNING: Flushing Optical - A Nightmare Experience You'll Want to Avoid!
If there was an option for zero stars, I would not hesitate to give it to Flushing Optical. This so-called "professional" eyeglass establishment turned out to be a disaster of epic proportions, leaving me with dizziness, headaches, and a stronger prescription than necessary.
When I first walked into Flushing Optical, I had high hopes for a seamless eye exam and a fresh pair of glasses. But as fate would have it, my experience became a twisted tale of deceit, agony, and incompetence.
The eye exam was performed hastily and carelessly, resulting in glasses that were much too strong for my needs. Like a cruel joke, they handed me the keys to a visual prison.
When I mustered the courage to confront them about the glaring issue, they had the audacity to tell me that it was because I hadn't worn glasses in a while. This blatant lie was only the tip of the iceberg.
The consequences of their negligence were severe. For weeks, I suffered from debilitating headaches and dizziness, as if my world was spinning uncontrollably. It was like living in a perpetual state of vertigo.
🩺 Desperate for answers, I sought a second opinion from another eye doctor. They confirmed my worst fears - Flushing Optical had messed up my eyes, and now I needed an even stronger prescription. My trust had been betrayed, and my eyes had paid the price.
When I returned to confront Flushing Optical about their deceitful ways, they spun more lies to avoid responsibility for their actions. It was a vicious cycle of deception and denial, all to avoid the simple task of replacing my lenses.
AVOID AT ALL COST! My experience with Flushing Optical was nothing short of a disaster. If you value your vision and peace of mind, I implore you to steer clear of this abhorrent establishment. Don't let their charm and flashy storefront fool you; the pain and misery they've caused me are not...
Read moreMy family and I have been customers at this location for years and we just found out that their policy for writing contact lens prescriptions is completely ILLEGAL. In short, they offer an eye exam for contact lenses and glasses but will NOT give you the contact lens prescription unless you buy their package--(at minimum) a half year supply of contact lenses from them. Rendering it impossible for you to order your contacts online/from other businesses.
Do not fall for this tactic because as consumers, we are protected by federal law from businesses who may experience this specific conflict of interest. We referred to the Fairness to Consumers of Contact Lenses Act (signed in 2004) which "requires prescribers to give patients a copy of their contact lens prescriptions at the end of a contact lens fitting, even if the patient doesn't ask for it" (business.ftc.gov/documen…) but the salespeople and manager continued to be on the defensive and stated that their store policy does not allow them to give contact lens prescriptions without the purchase of contact lens even if you fully pay for an eye exam.
This is an underhanded and illegal way of forcing their customers to buy their overpriced contact...
Read moreThese reviews must be fake. Look at Wanda Martin's review. She said street parking is easy to find at Flushing. Have she even been to Flushing, which is notorious for its traffic and hard to find street parking. By the way, she's going through a divorce in Massachusetts just recently and used a housing cleaning service in San Diego last month. Ehh, she is really busy traveling around the USA. Maybe next week she will be doing her nails in Florida.
OMG, if you look at Kathy Wells review, she also used the same cleaning service at San Diego. What are the chance that both patronize the same businessman at different states and gave 5 star reviews as well? Are they twins?
Please take the 5 star reviews with a grain of salt. My personal experience was definitely not stellar. They are condescending and unprofessional.
To be honest, mostly only Asian patronize the Flushing businesses. Reviews with American names (Jane Evans, Wanda Martin, Amanda Gonzales, Vicki Hall, Kathy Wells) only have a few contributions, (3 or less) and their contributions reviews place all over the USA. It can't look more...
