Food Universe Marketplace — Local services in New York

Since I moved to this neighborhood 9 years ago there has been three different owners of this location and they still can't get it right.

Most recently during the six o'clock rush they only had one cashier open who decided it was okay for him to answer his phone while there was a line of five people waiting on him.

Also and this is the height of unprofessionalism and just downright unsanitary the other cashier who was obviously on her break was sitting in her Lane eating a whole plate of Chinese food with food all over her face. Have some professionalism and go to the break room, I didn't come to give you my patronage to watch you eat with rice all over your face.

Besides the terribly unprofessional nature of the staff the variety of their products is there a limited and nonsensical.

And lastly their produce can be very hit-and-miss with freshness and I wouldn't serve a thing from their meat department to even my worst enemy as the two times I've gone there the meat spoiled or have been sold past its expiration date.

Just wish someone who knew what they were doing and a professional and sanitary place for people in the neighborhood to come shop. This place is...

I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of this market. I’ve noticed on multiple occasions that the produce and meat are often spoiled. Most concerning is the practice of freezing condiments and meat, only to place them back on the shelves before opening. I purchased ground turkey just yesterday, and when I went to cook it today, it was completely spoiled and left a horrible odor throughout my apartment. The fruits often have mold on them, and it's disturbing to see this happening, especially given the inflated prices. Customers deserve fresh, safe food, not overpriced, low-quality products. I've been a shopper here for 11 years. I can verify that this Neighborhood Supermarket has changed ALOT since Covid days. The SALES NEWSPAPER with Daily Sales Stopped Entirely. The Head Supervisor tells STAFF to NOT PLACE SALES OUT, BUT KEEP The REGULAR HIGHEST PRICING instead! I was FURIOUS when I heard this! I don't think it's right the way this Supermarket has become quite Greedy for Incoming Money instead of giving back to "Us" the loyal shoppers community. Something has to change.
