GANNI Flatiron — Local services in New York

This review is about the store's restroom policy, not the store's collection or staff. I recently visited the store and bought a dress. During checkout I realized I needed to (somewhat urgently) use the restroom and requested the cashier for access to a restroom. I was denied access and told that they didn't have a "public restroom". While I can understand why a store may not want to provide public access to their restroom, to deny a (paying) customer who requests urgent access is inhumane and unprofessional. The staff at this location was very kind! While I predominately shop online, I was enthusiastic to unexpectedly pass a Ganni location, so my partner and I headed in to browse -- that is, get a sense of materials, texture, etc. Not planning a larger purchase that day, I only bought a scrunchie as a holiday gift; the salesperson was kind enough to offer a dustbag as an alternative to boxes when we inquired! They were polite, friendly, and gave us space to browse but were available if needed. They also assured this is the location in the city I'll be favouring with future purchases, potentially more than online!...
