BUYER BEWARE! This business is dishonest. I purchased a Groupon and when making the appointment they said they charge an additional $17 for “tax” and “service charge” which, what local city tax is that high? I inquired if the service charge is gratuity and they said yes so basically they are forcing you to pay tip upfront regardless of your satisfaction with the service.

The worst part is the lash technician, I don’t know his name but it’s a man. They did inform me upfront that removal of old lashes would cost $15-20, and I asked if they could evaluate it on a sliding scale in person because my lashes are quite sparse already and I don’t expect it to take much time. The guy took one look and said because they were volume lashes, it would be the max $20 because it would take 30 min, maybe even up to 60 min to remove them?! And I was completely dumbfounded, I’ve been getting volume extensions for years and it always takes less than 15 min to remove, so I didn’t appreciate that he was basically lying about the effort + time necessary just to justify up charging. Then a female employee came to intervene and confirmed it would only take 15 min to remove (as I had reiterated to him several times), but they tried to gaslight me saying he never claimed the lash removal would take an hour. What a joke, I honestly would have just paid it if he had kept it real, but I don’t appreciate a dishonest business trying to pull a fast one just to charge a few dollars more.

He was visibly upset, huffing and puffing, muttering in Korean, I guess he wasn’t pleased about getting called out on his lie. They really do not try to earn customer satisfaction here.

UPDATE: the owner’s response did not address my main point which is that the lash technician lied about how long the removal would take (a comically absurd 30-60 min) in order to justify the cost of the removal. I never had a problem with paying the $17 “tax and service charge” and explicitly stated in my review that this was told to me prior to the appointment. Why bother responding if you’re just gonna...

Bought a Groupon for a set of lashes. Booking an appointment was pretty easy. I called about two days before my scheduled appointment to reschedule it to the day after and they had no issue, and had after work hours availability. It's a little tough to find, since it's located inside a hotel.

My eyelash technician was Ilia (?) and I thought she was just okay. I have been to two other lash places before and the technicians there were helpful in trying to figure out the best shape/length for me. Not here. When I asked for her expertise/advice, she was pretty much just like "whatever you want." It was a little shaky at the beginning because it felt like she was tugging on some of my natural lashes. The last half of the session was better because I ended up falling asleep. The end result actually looks pretty nice so I guess I picked right (no thanks to my technician).

I must say that even though they are not that helpful in helping you decide, the quality is good. They are pretty long-lasting lashes. It's been two weeks since the session, and my lashes are still hanging on. They lasted my entire Hawaiian vacation, which included lots of swimming.
