Golden Glow Spa — Local services in New York

I went here randomly looking for a place to do tips when I found out my usual salon doesn't do them. The lady did a really good job, although I forgot to ask her name. I decided to come back a second time to get tips done again (SNS powder technique). A different woman did them this time, I wanted the coffin shape but she butchered some of my nails. They were too pointy, with no shine looking scratched up. I was not happy with the end result. Pictures attached. They were small details I noticed but for $60 it was unacceptable for me. I decided to go back and tell them something about it, and they had no problem with me doing so. They told me to have a seat and another lady fixed my nails, redid the powder, refiled them and even took off two nails that I didn't like and completely redid them, all for free and no complaints. Worst wax experience I’ve ever had!! Upon arriving I looked at their pricing list it said 40$ for a brazilian wax. As a person who regularly gets waxed I know fully well that a BRAZILIAN means both FRONT AND BACK! I soon realized during the session that They would charge an extra 5 for the back. I told her it was false advertisement that she couldn’t give me a bikini wax and charge me for a Brazilian. The staff was extremely rude and made very rude comments like you have too much hair while I received my wax, my issue was about false advertising not the extra $5. I proceeded to pay extra and upon paying I was nagged about a tip!! I hated my service so you could only imagine my disbelief when she pressured me to give a tip. On top of all that she proceeded to talk In her language while pointing at me with an attitude I will NEVER give my money to this establishment...

Golden Glow salon really did an excellent job! Great experience. My girlfriend and I walked in on Valentine’s Day with no appointment and were seen very quickly for mani/pedis. I showed them a reference picture of chrome ombré extension nails and they made my nail dreams come true! Very dedicated and talented staff - will listen to what you want. It started to get busy 20/30 minutes after we arrived and I did notice some people who had appointments waiting around - so I don’t think whether or not you make an appointment makes a difference on how prioritized you are.
