Alright buckle up. My phone has been out of commission since 6/26 AM (which has been insanely/surprisingly pretty spectacular). Regardless I have been using my apartment buildings front desk phone number to call screen repair places. I've walked more around Manhattan and Brooklyn than I ever have or care to admit. I needed to write directions and addresses with pen and paper. Real Stone Age stuff. I've gone to countless stores and really every place didn't offer any kind of reasonable solution to my problem (That wasn't extremely expensive or just bad news for me).
Insert N 6th Williamsburg Google Store (Which I casually happened to see on one of my many walks (Stores is 2 weeks old). I was heading into Manhattan to a screen repair place and decided to stop into the google store in Williamsburg to see what they thought...
ACTUAL REVIEW: They quickly identified that I had more problems than other places had identified. I wont get into them. However, I will get into how great everyone was at the store and how incredibly helpful they were. Each person I interacted with was extremely professional, very nice, understanding, and honestly just enjoyable to talk to.
They were all very honest with me about my phone and the situations that could occur with fixing it. But they also clearly went above and beyond to help me out. I have heard places wont touch your phone if you have certain issues with it (mine was one of them), but they went out of their way to help me. They brought my phone back from the metaphorical dead.
They all made me feel at ease. Made me feel welcome. And honestly, I feel like I could just hang out there with all of them and it'd be a fun day. I'll probably just stop by from time to time to just say hi. That's how cool everyone was. In the interview process they must have a ("Can talk to anyone" portion of the interview).
Special Thanks to James C, Valerie, Mehdi. They were truly awesome. So helpful, and found solutions to what I thought was a dead end. They were people who "No" wasn't in their vocabulary. Each one spent considerable time with me, as well as educated me on things I could do with my phone and computer. Jordan was phenomenal too (LGM). Antonio was great as well. Last but not least: Clyde who was the tech who actually fixed my phone. Thank you! And the price was very reasonable. Makes me never want to talk to the other places ever again.
I really appreciate the camaraderie of the store and if I have any issues going forward I know exactly where to go. Thanks to...
Read moreUpdate: I popped in for the second time to purchase the Pixel Buds A-Series (you should just get the pros) and was once again greeted with nothing but great energy, this time with some good music playing and some nostalgic records. Keep the music pumping! I'll always give a positive review of this location because the entire staff shows love, so I want to do a thorough job at shouting everyone out. First and foremost, thank you to Karnis (spectacular eyes👁️), who was the representative who helped check me out. The first time was Antonio. She had a wonderful conversation with me and made me feel valued. 🙏🏿 Shout out to the rest of the team on the floor that day Mike, Reggie, Tasnim, Mark-Anthony, Jordan, Mylessa and Jason. Apologies to who I forgot!
Honorable mention to Ricky the security guard. Bring him on to the Google team!
The entire crew is awesome. Shout out to store management. When employees are groovin to good vibes inside any establishment, it gives the impression that they DON'T HATE THEIR JOB. That's my kind of spot! They ALL deserve raises Google. Value them!
Plus, Warby Parker 🕶️ is right next door! After you get a new phone, get some new frames to see it! Blessings. DarkChocolate 🍫🤙🏿 #GoogleGang✊🏿
Too often when people leave online reviews these days it's something negative BUT not this time! I would HIGHLY recommend walking into this store and getting this experience. Online is convenient but nothing beats the human experience! Not only was the store impeccable but the team at this particular Williamsburg New York City store exceptional! All the devices were easy to use and your information was swapped from device to device with a blink of an eye. The exceptional store employees made my experience go through the roof though. My particular representative (Antonio) made my experience such an enjoyable one with nothing but great energy, laughs and positive vibes. He was super compassionate being that I am disabled and allowed me to sit the whole time for my experience. Thank you man. Shout out to the rest of his team including Mehdi and Krystle who all added to the great energy inside the store. I will not hesitate to go back! -DarkChocolate...

08/17/22: Seamless from start to finish buying a Nest camera. The lady that helped us was so kind.
12/30/22: Came in for a screen repair. Was told it'd take about an hour. Went to grab a bite at Shake Shack and it was ready for pickup within the hour. Evening staff was very helpful.
03/04/23: Previously repaired screen had gone bad in just 3 months with a green tint. Stopped by after work and they replaced it free of charge in just over 30 minutes, no questions asked.
03/20/23: Stopped by to upgrade my dad to the Pixel 7 pro from his old S10. Staff helped transfer everything over with no headaches. Could've done it myself but why bother 😹.
10/11/23: This place needs either a number to call or the chat option.
It's not easy to find parking and having to use the subway to get here from any other borough is not worth the wait if you end up having wasted your time with something a simple call or message could've answered.
Edit 10/14/23:
Wow. After four wonderful previous visits, today was the absolute worst. The girl that "helped me out" was so very clearly a recent hire, I would even say a seasonal hire. I asked if she could check inventory at the Chelsea store since they didn't have the phone that I wanted and as I stood in the front waiting for her to come back I was watching her the entire time in the reflection of the front door glass speaking to another customer without checking the store phone just to come back to me to say that there was no inventory at the other store. I can understand not wanting to deal with customers and preferring a slow day, especially in the rain, but don't lie to people. That's so weird. Left empty handed for the first time lol. I've only ever been to the Chelsea store twice, once for the launch day of the 6 pro and another for a pick up, and it's been a significantly better experience. Especially since T-Mobile is right across the street, helping you avoid the headache of calling to set up your new phone. You'd have to pay me to come back. They need a store in...
