The worst experiences with this bank- I have now given up and finally decided to change banks to Chase as they are much more customer focused with people to speak to. I have a long list of bad issues with this bank over the last few years but the biggest one is their āfraudā reporting. I travel, and almost 1 out of 10 transactions I make is reported as Fraud and cards are stopped - embarrassingly so - no matter how many times I tell them I am traveling - it then takes 24 hours for updates to get my card working sometimes. Checks take 5/7 business days to deposit and clear if paid into the bank but there are so few banks around I have to mail them. I am a āpremierā client and meant to have a relationship manager which is not the case, it takes about 1 hour for any simple conversation with a person to do anything with their call system. I transfer money to people, it can go āmissingā in their system for days, they blame the personās bank receiving but itās HSBC as no one else has these issues. I have been a client (since I was 2) for 42 years with mortgages / loans / family history and they simply do not care about their patrons and are inefficient and incapable at offering a competitive...

Granted, I went in around lunch time, but there were only two tellers working--let's not forget this is a Time Square location, which means this bank will get a lot more traffic than other branch locations. There were other bankers working there and staff behind the tellers, but out of seven tellers, there were only two working that day. I had to wait in line for 30 minutes and was late for an appointment because of that. I don't know what those other people behind the tellers were doing, but there was a very long line and it was moving at snail pace. I tried talking to the manager, saying that that long line should have alerted them to bring in at least another teller, but she barely responded. Will try hard not to go to this location...

A year ago someone apparently got a hold of my ATM card number and used it 3 times at a 7-11 totaling $7500 (as a purchase - I guess 7-11 must have been in on it as how can you spend this amount of money there) and their security never caught this. It took 2 weeks to get a replacement card and they refused to send it expedited even though I am a premier account holder.
