Jaded Tresses- NYC Location — Local services in New York

Jaded Tresses/Tameeka has lost my potential business due to her extremely unprofessional receptionist.

Like the commenter below me, my issues began and persisted with this receptionist.

First issue - When I initially reached out she took days to confirm an appointment. So long, that I actually called the number to ask Tameeka herself about an appointment. She, which I understand (I'd say I respect it if her employee was on point), referred me back to her receptionist/the texter/text number. Turned off by the delay, I then began to delay my response when she finally responded.

Second issue - This week I decided to pick the conversation back up to finally confirm an appointment time. I followed our conversation up by going to the site for the payment info. On the site (which seems to be a big part of the discrepancy), when you look for hair service and go to pay, the deposit button takes you to paypal, so I paid via paypal. My money was taken from my account, as shown in the screenshot below.

Third issue - The receptionist reached out the next day (today) to confirm a date (Are y'all tired yet, because I'm already over explaining this) and said paypal did not take anything from my account which as you can clearly see via the screenshot. For some reason, she continued to incorrectly bring up that the paypal payment did not go through which it clearly did. I just wanted to set up an appointment, but due to her immature bickering i decided going to Jaded Tresses was not worth this headache.

Lack of professionalism, late confirmations, hard typos and immature responses are not it!

It's unfortunate because I really wanted to support and try this salon out. Hopefully this improves and others have a better experience than I and...

I’ve been getting my hair cuts with Tameeka since 2016. My hair type is 4a. I mainly get shaping and my ends trimmed. Whenever I get a fresh cut I’m asked by my coworkers or sometimes strangers where do I get my hair done. And without hesitation I give them Jaded Tresses Salon location and contact information.

First of all you’ve getting an experience whenever Tameeka services your hair. She will tell you how to maintain the health of your hair. During my first appointment with Tameeka she had a conversation about my lifestyle ( basically to understand your day to day) to get an idea of how a client would maintain the health and style of your hair. Tameeka gives you a real assessment she then gave me a lesson on wash and go styling. Since then I’ve been maintaining hair health with wash and go styling.

Earlier this month I took my mom with me to get the Tameeka experience. My Mom’s hair type is a 2B and Tameeka was able to cut and style her texture with ease. Tameeka used her own products line Curl Crush (by adding more water to dilute due to the texture). My mother was so happy with her haircut and style that she’s coming back with me...

The level of professionalism and care that is put into interaction, education, and products is extremely high dealing with Jaded Tresses. My mom told be about the mastery and product, since we are originally from NY, she was coming to the west coast for a natural hair expo was exciting to say the least. We got to see Tameeka provide natural hair care knowledge and explain how and what products worked for what, while also learning about her product line. My mother placed an order and had issues receiving the order via postal shipment confusion. Tameeka personally assisted in her team correcting this for us. Even if I did not believe the products or hair care were as good as I know they are, the way we were taken care of meant everything to me.
