So I really, REALLY wanted to love Jalee jewelry bc it’s a family owned small business, they’re really nice, and the jewelry looks beautiful. But I’ve bought two pieces from them since March and I’ve had to go in to have them repaired 4 times now. I bought the green jade bracelet in March and initially got it with a hollow rope chain. A month later, a small piece of the chain broke off. It was sharp and poking me, so I went to get it repaired. They charged me $20 to fix it but then a month later another piece had broken off. When I went again, they explained that since it’s a hollow chain, that’s why it’s breaking. They offered the option of changing the chain to a diamond cut, which I agreed to. They charged me about $40 to change it. Then another month later, in June, the gold piece holding the jade deteriorated on the inside. I went to get it repaired again, was charged $30, and decided I wanted a purple jade necklace also. On June 29th, I paid for the repair, put down a deposit for the necklace to be made with white gold. I picked it up on July 4th and today, July 17th, the clasp broke. The gold part holding the jade on my bracelet was also deteriorating again and wasn’t holding the jade in place anymore, so I went to the store again and was told it would be $28 to change out the clasp. I was annoyed and dumbfounded honestly. I wasn’t even wearing the necklace everyday so there’s no way it should be breaking. I explained it hasn’t even been 2 weeks since I got it and they lowered it to $20. At that point, I decided it wasn’t worth arguing and just paid the $20. I didn’t even want to mention the bracelet bc by now, I’ve paid almost $500 for this bracelet alone. They’re nice people and the jewelry looks great, but I would honestly not recommend due to all the hassle of constantly going in for repairs and the cost of all the...

Know your gold price and value before you go to any jewelry store and buy it. Their price is absolutely a rip off. Gold is sold by gram not by what they want to sell it for. I had purchase a necklace from them for $600 and then brought it to a certified Jewelry store in manhattan. is not worth anymore than $300 for the gold and value if sold At the checked location for the gold value! I had brought another 24k gold bracelet for my son and they had replace the bracelet Band color for me and cut my gold and said “ I Did it myself they’re not responsible”. 24k gold can only be dent not cut. Before walking out they assure me they’d exchange me anything same value of what I “bought it for”. The necklace was price $880 I bargain down to $600. The exchange necklace was only $780 but she was not willing to exchange for the $600 I paid for. She said if I buy it then she will sell for $600 but will not exchange for something same value????? . And my son bracelet she don’t want any responsibility for it.Don’t go here you’ll get ripped off. KNOW YOUR GOLD VALUE AND PRICE BEFORE GOING TO A JEWELRY STORE UNLIKE ME I LEARNED MY LESSON AFTER. Every jewelry will rip you off if you don’t know your gold value prices. Shop around. This place is the worst place I’ve ever been to. Nice people until only when they get your money, after they get your money they don’t care how they treat you. Don’t shop at small business that don’t care about service or insurance of product. Don’t waste your time here or anywhere that you have to bargain for gold like me after I learned my lesson. I don’t even want to wear the jewelry anymore after how I’m treated after...

This place is truly a hidden GEM! (pun intended)

They have a wide selection of jewelry that would suit anybody’s taste: from simple and clean aesthetic vibes to extravagant razzle-dazzle styles.

Their selection is so beautiful and unique. I’ve been to many jewelry stores from mainstream shops like Mejuri and An Luisa to local shops in Chinatown. Jalee Jewelry is THE BEST HANDS DOWN. Their red jade and purple jade pieces are stunning and their prices can’t be beat… I wish I knew about this place earlier!

I recommend spending time there to peruse and look because every time I visit, I find something new that I really like and the staff there is very friendly and accommodating, especially Jerry. They can also resize rings or bracelets to fit you perfectly which is awesome because my fingers and wrists are usually too small for mainstream jewelry… so thank you so much Jalee Jewelry for making my jewelry dreams come true.

I will definitely come back for more because this place is full of treasures. Go support a local business and come down to Jalee Jewelry. You won’t leave disappointed… or...

This is the type of shop you want to love because it's a small family owned business but can't. Maybe the parents of the current owner are good people but the quality is now poor, and you'll get haggled over any replacements or refund claiming that you bargained with him when no such thing happened. I bought a pair of jade hoop earrings, and in a matter of weeks / less than 10 wears, both earrings broke. When the first earring broke, I paid extra to replace. After the second earring broke, I took the earrings to a local repair shop for a second opinion and was told the earrings are *not structurally sound* because of skimping on gold. The gold connecting the earring back is literally *paper thin* so it's guaranteed to become misshapen and break over time - pictures for reference. I reached out to about the issue and was told I must have only paid $240 for the pair (No idea where that number came from. The earrings were $280, and I paid an extra $160 for the first single earring replacement) but could offer an extra $15 if I didn't write a bad review.
