Very poor experience.
First, they weren’t expecting me. They have an online booking system that they don’t actually keep track of.
Second, there is zero privacy and the space is uncomfortable. You are literally undressed right beside a stranger that is also undressed, separated only by a sheet.
Third, they don’t ask what level of pressure you want. My “masseuse” was incredibly rough. And she made me incredibly uncomfortable, constantly fidgeting with my underwear. There is zero reason why you need to touch my panties 10+ times during a massage, giving me a wedgie every time. I could not wait for it to be over.
And finally, after that poor experience, the receptionist asks how much I’d like to tip. When I say $10, she responds “20% is more better.” Excuse me? I don’t even like to patronize businesses that ask you how much you want to tip instead of letting you input it yourself. You don’t even ask if I enjoyed the service. And have the nerve to try to force me to tip more than I want to. Not to mention my tip was generous given the poor service.

Read moreI have been coming here for over 5 years whenever I visit NYC – it’s one of my first stops after a long flight. To sum it up, they offer a consistently good deep-tissue massage, will listen to your concerns to tailor your session, and the price/value can’t be beaten. They can get busy (so you might want to call ahead), but I’ve never felt rushed. The manager who greets you, is very kind, and professional, and runs a clean shop that caters to both men and women. Jenny (who I had on my last visit) not only worked out my nagging knots but also delivered a fantastically soothing head massage (I caught myself snoring a couple of times- apologies to any other customers that I might have disturbed). Rest assured, all the other masseuses I’ve had here have also been wonderful. Don’t hesitate to book your next massage session here-you won’t be disappointed. But for those guys looking for “extras” (I think you might know what I mean), you probably should look elsewhere-this is a professional massage shop, please respect these nice,...
Read moreI called the spa on Monday for a Sat massage 1hr. Saturday I had to push the apt, they were able to move it. Went in and the receptionist seemed confused I had an apt.. they got me set up anyway.
Massage, while it lasted.. was good. But the masseuse would leave without saying anything, take phone calls while massaging me the entire time. I felt like I spent more time alone than being massaged, sometimes getting cold without a blanket. Especially with her leaving so often and being in one of the front rooms (divided by curtains), I’m not sure if the curtains were kept closed. While leaving, I did see a client’s curtain open and them lying face down.
Disappointed, I go to the front desk. Left a 15% tip, and the receptionist said no, 20% minimum. Did not ask how the massage was. I didn’t care to talk much so left tip and left. Was expecting more considering...
