Tl;dr - If you can take the pain and want someone to CLEAN UP your face? SAMMI IS YOUR GIRL. I can't really comment on anything else, because that's the only reason why I go see her.
If what you want is someone who will take the time and effort to make sure that they get EVERYTHING out? Sammi is THE one to go to.
My purpose for coming to see Sammi isn't for a "relaxing spa" visit. It's an intervention. A lifeline to my panicking vanity and need for immediate gratification.
If you can take the pain, Sammi will meticulously get out all those little things that you can both see and feel on your face, despite others saying that they can't see it.
That little covered whitehead on your forehead that only really shows after coming out of the shower, but you can still feel with your fingertips? She'll get it out. The giant angry pimple? She'll drain it out.
To me, getting a facial from Sammi is what I wished dermatologist visits would be like.
As with any good extraction, your face might be a little red or irritated for a day or two. But after that? Smooth. And honestly, my face is never as red as I think it will be given all the extractions.
When I try to extract some of the more surfaced acne after the shower, I always end up getting them red and very angry, often leading to scarring. And that's despite using tissues and qtips. With Sammi, that never happens.
There's a reason I've been coming to see her once every couple of months for over a decade.
Regarding some of the other reviews talking about upsell tactics, I can't really comment. Because I whole-heartedly trust Sammi and just go with whatever package that she suggests to me, which pretty much includes all the options. So I don't get the upsell pitches.
It's not like I'm a spender and have a lot of money to spend. I just treat each visit as an investment for my skin, and I do pay a lot of attention to my skin.
Even if I went to a dermatologist and paid out of pocket for extractions (since it will be considered cosmetic and wont' be covered), not only would it be a lot more expensive, it wouldn't be as thorough as with Sammi either.
I haven't tried any other service other than the facials with Sammi so can't comment on those. But I do know that if you're a pragmatic person that want your skin cleaned out,...

The facial itself left my skin feeling smooth and some blackheads were cleaned up, which is great. But the whole spa experience felt scammy and I wish I would have gone somewhere else. The beautician spent the entire session attempting to upsell on services even though I said over and over that I was only interested in the basic deep cleansing facial that I booked and came-in for. It was just a rotation of sales pushing from multiple attempts to pressure into additional masks and service, products, membership, and packages of multiple facials. Truly, she talked and pushed services, quoting prices - no exaggeration - the ENTIRE 60 minute facial and it was not a peaceful experience. I kept having to clarify that I was not subscribing to one of the many suggested services and only getting the one that I booked and repeatedly stated I wanted to receive, nothing more. And then she would end with âokay, think about itâ before launching into another sales pitch lol đ© She also got product in my eyes and wouldnât wipe them for me until half way through the service. My eyes were burning the rest of the day and half of the following day.
But then, when it was finally over, while paying (and being pressured to buy a spa package, yet again), they informed me that I NEEDED to tip 20% of âoriginalâ service rather than the 20% tip that I was giving on the service that I received lol. Being pressured to tip $20 for a $50 facial that was not even peaceful or enjoyable is why many of us just do our own self-care from home.
Clean spa, kind humans, basic yet effective facial, but truly terrible business model and unpleasant experience. I would...
Read moreWent here for my first facial with my girlfriend which we both enjoyed. What I didnât enjoy was the 7 or 8 attempts during the facial to upsell me additional services I clearly didnât want. Even going as far as to state that my girlfriend in the other room was opting for the more expensive services as some sort of weird prisonerâs dilemma negotiation tactic. I stood my ground and didnât accept their offers, which was stressful because half of me was thinking I might have accidentally received a service I didnât ask for and was going to be charged for it.
My girlfriend however ended up being charged $120 more than what my service was, and when we chatted about our experiences we only knew that she got some sort of suction service as well. The rest of the treatment seemed to be identical. To my girlfriends knowledge she signed up for the diamond package and was told it would be about $108 but got charged $168 at the end and wasnât sure if she had accidentally accepted another one of their upsells by mistake.
Also after discussing with my girlfriend after she was told by the person treating her that her skin would be damaged if she didnât opt for the more expensive package due to some acne, which she believed.
Very predatory and exhausting to deal with when youâre essentially captive for an hour. Never going back
