I've known Katie for a while now and I have been spoiled by her. She's only done my eyelash extensions and if that is any indication, anything she does must be just as amazing. She has the gentlest touch (I often fall asleep for our sessions) and for anyone who is concerned about their real lashes falling out or getting thinner - they don't. I have long, thin, and straight lashes and to be honest I've never noticed that my natural lashes actually fall out unless it's attached to the extensions because they make my lashes look so much thicker and longer. And let's face it, our lashes naturally fall out anyway. For me, I've stopped wearing any eye makeup because I really didn't need to; everyone thought I already had makeup on! (Thanks Katie!!)

I've had another girl do my extensions before but the lashes would be stuck together, become warped and out of shape, or fall out often. I've also seen some friends go through Groupon for deals but they've had horrible results - allergy to the extension glue, super plastic/fake looking uncomfortable extensions, going to multiple places and paying more money for the complete look, etc. I recommended every single one to Katie because she is my go-to now even though I'm afraid of her getting too popular (lol). Katie does such a great job at application that I don't have to go every two weeks. I'm lucky enough to only go every four to five weeks before getting a refill. Be warned though that it can depend on things like your eye shape (hooded eyes) and your makeup routine (makeup with oil), or even your workout routine (extensive sweating on eyelashes or exposure to heat like in a sauna).

I've also tried GrandeLash which worked well for me in terms of length and volume after three months of daily application but it still does not compare to the look of eyelash extensions as I had to put on eye makeup. Plus no one commented on how beautiful my lashes were much to the dismay of my vanity (lol). So comparing the two, upfront I was spending more money on extensions BUT it meant no more eyeshadow palettes/brushes, mascara, eye makeup remover, and saving time each morning before work. In addition, I couldn't use GrandeLash when I was pregnant but eyelash extensions were completely safe.

All in all I prefer eyelash extensions, and not just any but Katie's eyelash extensions. She uses high quality lashes and is an expert with application. For anyone who is scared or concerned about the process and aftercare, she really puts you at ease and makes you feel beautiful. She is also very accommodating and able to fit me in last minute as I have a crazy work schedule. Go to her!! You...

I don't like the way Katie does business. I went to her for almost a year for lash lift + tint and brow shape + tint.

During one of my visits, Katie told me midway through my appointment that another esthetician would take over for her without getting my permission in advance. The esthetician that took over, immediately put his hands on my shoulders to give me a massage. It is a nice idea, but I had not agreed to have a new esthetician work on me or for anyone to touch my body. Katie apologize after the servive and said she would do my appointments personally in the future, so I continued to go to her.

Today I am sick with a sore throat and running nose. Even when it's not a pandemic, I assume Katie doesn't want me to sneeze in her face repeatedly while she is working on my lashes and brows, so I messaged Katie to cancel my appointment for this afternoon. She charged me a $25 cancellation fee. I understand that she is running a business and late cancellations are disruptive, but I expected her to show more consideration to a regular client who is trying to not spread a viral illness.

I would rather go to another esthetician in NYC who manages her business more professionally and appreciates...

I've never liked how false eyelashes looked on me and the fact that they felt so heavy, but when I heard that there was a thing called a Glueless Keratin Lash Lift that permed your natural eyelashes, I was immensely intrigued. I've gotten my eyelashes tinted and done twice by Katie now and have been obsessed. She makes me feel at ease every time. I can guarantee you'll fall asleep with how gently and efficiently she does the procedure and the addition of the calming music in the background.

As someone who works in editorial and attends numerous NYFW shows and fashion events, my makeup routine is significantly shorter, and I can't stop marveling at them throughout the day. I have short, straight Asian eyelashes, and Katie somehow perfectly elongates my lashes within 45 minutes to an hour — it's like magic! No pain during or afterward at all!

She's also quick to answer any questions I might have by text, and if I have any immediate concerns, she always offers for me to come in so she can take a look. I truly look forward to my appointments and I know I'll only trust Katie with my lashes...
