I cannot verbally express my disappointment because the food smelled SO GOOD 😭 I ordered the boneless wings lunch special, which included 8 pieces and a side of fries. Total came out to be exactly $16 ($14.70 + $1.30 tax)
Portion: the picture explains itself. AirPods Pro for scale. The largest piece was not even as big as the case. The smallest piece was about the size of a quarter. I had to cut them to smaller pieces to prevent myself from finishing the meal in just 8 bites.
Taste/Texture: I am not joking when I say this but the texture is EXACTLY the same as Wendy’s saucy nuggets (except 3x the price). It tastes like reheated frozen nuggets and it definitely was not double fried as described. The fries on the other hand were actually really good and super crunchy (hence the 2 stars). The boneless wings were most likely made with chicken breasts, which explains why it was very dry but I didn’t mind. However, there was literally zero sauce on them (see photos) and the chicken didn’t taste like it was marinated. All the flavor came from the batter.
Other things to note: I had to wait around 15-20 minutes, which made sense if the food was made fresh. The workers there were really nice.
Overall, the food was not enjoyable but I guess it’s my fault for ordering boneless instead of wings. Might give them another try in a few months to see if it gets better.
UPDATE 10/10/25: I went back a few weeks ago to try out the wings this time and they were great! The wings were seasoned well and sauce was evenly distributed. They were also pretty big (see third photo). As a result, I will be giving this place another star but I still stand by what I said about the...
Read moreI stopped by Bonchon for a quick bite and… ended up planning my next visit before I even finished eating.
The chicken? Crispy like it just came out of a K-drama. Juicy inside, with that signature sweet-and-spicy glaze that makes me happy.
One of the staff joked that “YangNyum sauce in Korean literally means ‘Sauce Sauce.’” We both laughed—apparently double sauce means double flavor.
While waiting for my food, I relaxed in the big rotunda seating area in the building—it was surprisingly comfortable and a nice little break in the middle of the day. And just around the corner, there’s a Birch Coffee if you're looking to wrap things up with a great cup after your meal.
Food came out fast, service was smooth, and everything hit the spot.
If you're in the area and craving something with crunch and charm, this...
Read moreI have a major complaint about this new location. Ever since they opened I decided to try out their food. I’ve purchased several different kinds of orders, for example the five pieces of chicken drumsticks. I also tried the chicken sandwich. I tried their Korean donuts and the last one I’ve ordered twice already is the seoul sampler. My complaint is a good complaint by the way it’s a good complaint because I stopped eating from different restaurants in the neighborhood because I am so hooked on this place that I even cook less and the staff is amazing. I recommend this place to everyone in the neighborhood....
