Had to ensure this place knew how to cut asian hair since asian hair generally grows straight out which can have a bad cow lick if not cut properly, or have a "mushroom effect." The guy (Shur) on the phone assured me that he knows what my concern was and that he could squeeze me in despite his schedule being fully booked. Showed up 10 minutes after the call, and he took me in 15 minutes after the guy sitting on the chair.
Shur does not lie when he says he understands my concern and gave me a clean mid fade just as i asked - no mushroom, no cowlick problem. Very personable and delivers on his word. You earned a new client!

I am a person who is extremely loyal to the person who cuts my hair and a frequent flyer (~one hair cut per week). I have been going to the same barber down in Miami for over 5 years, so to say he is one of the best you can take my word for it! Also, he is very familiar with hair styles and will provide his opinion on what looks good or doesn’t, which was refreshing. I followed his advice and since been speaking glowingly about the haircut. The place is excellent and affordable. Every time I am in NYC, I will go out of my way to get a cut...
Read moreLevel Two Barbershop is definitely the best, most consistent barbershop I've been to. Of course I have a favorite couple of barbers at Level Two, but I've had my hair cut by everyone that works there and I'm never short of impressed with the results. I think there's a lot to be said for that! If you're looking for a new barber or maybe you just want to switch things up I highly recommend giving Level Two a shot. It's a clean establishment where everyone has high attention to detail. Thank you to Boris for giving me an amazing trim today, and thank you Janet for all the great haircuts you've given me before I wrote...
