Awful. I frequent this post office very often. I see different things all the time, but I mind my business as my mission is to quickly go in and quickly come out. To make a long story short right now, Millie and Mr. Tramble BOTH should be out of a job: on October 12 I had certified mail to go out. I prepare my certified documents ahead of time (to quickly go to the window and finish at the window). My certified mail envelope had a pre paid postage stamp on it, I bought it to Millie's attention because I did not want her to make a mistake and charge me twice for postage. Millie explained she never seen the postage before and proceeded to process the certified mail. Tramble happened to have walked by and Millie showed him the envelope and tramble refused to accept my mail. I asked him to explain why and he told me to speak to him at a different window (two windows to the left of Millie's window) tramble and I spoke but he couldn't give me specific or helpful info as to why he was declining; I took his name and information so that I could later handle the matter. I returned to Millie's window to finish being processed and MILLIE HAD TOOK THE LIBERTY OF THROWING AWAY THE CERTIFIED MAIL LABELS WE WERE PROCESSING less than 3 minutes ago. I asked Millie if she could please retrieve the labels from the garbage as the documents enclosed in the envelope were legal documents that I prepared and included the certified mailing number on it. I informed her she was disrupting my order and process of business unnecessarily. I insisted she get the certified label to continue processing she told me she didn't need for me to tell her what to do. I replied I did not need her attitude and she walked away from the window and did not return. She went to the back and spoke to tramble (I suppose) tramble came out and I asked him if he could please get the label I was working on and he said it was in the garbage outside in the back of the post office. I was so shocked I called 911 and 311. Luckily there were other postal staff there behind the window who had compassion for this unnecessary nonsense tramble and Millie were up to today and one lady stopped seeing her own customers to put on blue gloves to search the garbage fore me (still not able to locate the label). An additional kind(/but not really ) lady processed a new label and ranged me up so that I could hurry and go back to my regular business. If the post office staff here carries out their daily business by yelling at customers, being rude and short with customers, and conducting destructive behavior .... action needs to be taken. I personally never wish someone without means of livelihood.... but Ms. Millie and Mr. Tramble both need to be let go from their positions for the attitude and conduct they demonstrated on October 12, 2017 at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the first time I have ever written a review of any place but after my experience this morning dealing with one of the Clerk's, I have to. I came in to figure out how to certify an envelope, and not being familiar with USPS and it's facilities I approached a Clerk for assistance. I wasn't even able to finish my first sentence before I got interrupted. Respectfully, I let the lady explain but I wasn't understanding what she was trying to say as I hadn't even gotten to what I wanted to do. She was explaining everything BUT how to get the envelope certified. After listening to her for five minutes, we came to the conclusion that I had bought the wrong envelope... Great. After we established that, I went back to my original question and she interrupted me again and said, "I have no idea what I am doing." She repeated this five times. Then, while telling her I was not appreciating the attitude in which I was being spoken to, the lady put her hand in my face and waved it several times. She sent me off to another employee who then, patiently, took the time to explain the Self Service machine and what I had to do.
I have never been treated with such disrespect. Customer Care and Hospitality is what I practice every day as a Manager at a Steakhouse in Midown, and this woman showed she had NO experience in either areas when trying to help me. She interrupted me, she raised her voice, she made feel and look ignorant, and then put her hands in front of my face. I would be embarassed to have someone represent the establishment I work at if they behaved this way, and I made sure to let the Manager know that after I spoke with her. The customer always comes first. That being said- If the customer does not understand what is being told to them, that's the Merchant's fault for not properly explaining to their guest in order for them to understand. It was her way or the high way, and frankly, nobody has time for that at 8o'clock in the morning. If the lady/clerk is too proud, annoyed, or impatient with her guests (because clearly I was too 'stupid' for her to deal with) then maybe she should stay away from Customer Service jobs, in general.
The Manager who helped me was very sweet, but unfortunately the damage was done and I will never be returning to this Postal service again and will make sure all of my friends and co-workers stay away from...
Ā Ā Ā Read more100% THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE EVER, I'd give it negative stars if I could. I went here to renew a passport, and after reading the application over to do so a dozen times, we thought we brought all the proper paperwork to the appointment. Upon showing up, they told us that we were missing a birth certificate (something that didn't appear to be a requirement on the appication) and said we could go back home, get it, and come back. After spending 2 HOURS making the round trip and digging up the document in question, they told us that because our appointment time had passed, we would be unable to complete the renewal and would be required to make a new appointment. The icing on the cake was how NO ONE ELSE WAS PRESENT TO GET THEIR PASSPORT RENEWED AT THE TIME. I get having to wait a bit longer if it's someone else's appointed time, but appointments generally take 15 minutes max, and I repeat, NO ONE ELSE WAS PRESENT AT THE TIME. We were turned away not because they couldn't further assist and follow through with what they said we could do (get the birth certificate and come back), but because they didn't want to help out. If they knew they couldn't help us after noticing we were missing the birth certificate (a document that isn't even listed as required to bring to the appointment), they should have immediately told us that they could no longer assist us to save us our 2 HOURS. AVOID THIS LOCATION IF POSSIBLE! Getting any official document renewed is never fun, but going to this place made the experience analogous to jumping 100ft onto a...
