This was our 2nd newborn shoot with Marzena which is the ultimate endorsement in and of itself. Moreover, there are so many great things about having Marzena as your photographer that I will describe below:

--From the beginning, Marzena is timely and prompt with communicating over phone, email, and text to exchange ideas of what you are looking in a photo session. She is also very flexible with timing your session which is a must when booking a newborn photography shoot because delivery dates are hard to predict. --Obviously, she is a very talented photographer who will capture some timeless pictures creating some indelible memories for your families. But equally important, she has a lot of patience in helping pose and create shots managing a newborn that needs to be fed or changed or a toddler who may be waning in patience. She has a special knack for connecting with toddlers helping them get excited for the session and a way of soothing newborns as she poses/styles them for some unique images. --She has a great studio with a lot of great props/styles too for the session. As parents of a toddler and a newborn, not having to worry about this was a huge weight off of our shoulders. And since we had gone through her portfolio ahead of time, we had told her some of the styles/props we liked from her other sessions and she had everything set up in her studio before we even got there which helped us jump right into the session.

We recently hired Little New York for a newborn session and had a great experience. When I initially reached out to Marzena (owner), my son was already 3 weeks old. As first time parents, we were unaware that newborn photos needed to be done sooner as the little one is more likely to be sleepier. Luckily, Marzena was able to accommodate us on short notice. Pricing was very reasonable for the basic package compared to other studios. We love the fact that she has her own studio in LIC. The space is spacious and full of beautiful natural light. She also has an amazing selection of the cutest knitted outfits and photo props; we were able to try out several which was a lot of fun. The photo shoot itself went without a hitch, and we have Marzena to thank. She really is like the baby whisperer, keeping the little guy calm throughout the entire session (not to mention changing him in & out of 4 different outfits). Julie and Marzena were very professional and kind from the very beginning. I found them on the internet in my search for a smash-cake 1st birthday photo session. Julie was very timely in answering all my questions. She stayed in touch and guided me through scheduling, clothing choices, and even improvised with an idea I had for a Christmas card. Marzena was very creative with getting our daughter to look and smile at the camera. The sets they used were clean, cute, and new. We didn't feel rushed. We couldn't be more happy with the quality of photos we received. Julie made it easy to understand the pricing during her photo selecting appointment. My only wish is they could find an alternative to the on-site photo selecting appointment to allow for online viewing so indecisive people like me have more time to view and decide.
