Vista Penthouse Ballroom — Attraction in New York

We were so happy to host our wedding at Vista Penthouse. We were immediately drawn to the beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline from the rooftop where we held the ceremony and penthouse area for reception. We booked the date over a year in advance and were offered an extremely affordable rate with nearly full service included from the Vista Penthouse staff (who set up the ceremony seating for ~90 people, quickly transitioned to a cocktail hour on the rooftop, set up the reception in the penthouse, served a multi-course plated dinner, and held an open bar for both cocktail hour and reception without any problems).

Food and service were great throughout the entire event! There were many options and our guests were impressed by all of them (including hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour all the way through coffee/desserts at the end of the reception). They were extremely accommodating of dietary restrictions.

Mike and Bill were exceptionally helpful during the planning process, and even moreso on the day of the wedding where they assisted with coordination (we didn’t have a day-of coordinator and they were extremely familiar with timing and logistics of the venue). They are very detail oriented, were always checking in on us throughout the event and coordinating with our various vendors, even packing us leftovers since we were only able to get a few bites to eat throughout the entire wedding. Overall we would highly recommend Vista Penthouse for anyone looking for an affordable, beautiful venue for any event!

(Wedding May 2021) THEY ARE AMAZING and YES THE BEST EVER!! I can't thank them enough!! shout out to MIKE, BILL and PATRICK. They are easy to work with and accommodate our requests. They are very patient with us and really attend to our needs. They are the type of people that really love what the do, they really want to help you and please you and they are really passionate about their work.

The Venue: from the rooftop to the penthouse, it is amazing, Manhattan skyline! we fell in love with the place the first time we saw it! need I say more?

The Food: there are lots of choices! guests loved it! from appetizers to desserts! yummy!

The Staff: as I said I can't them enough! MIKE and BILL, a million thanks! from planning to the day itself you've been hands on, from small things such as linen colors, to endless emails and texts (thanks Mike), to having us tour the place more than twice to make sure we get it right, to letting us putting our stuff the night before and letting us set-up (thanks Patrick), to putting my wedding bouquet in the kitchen refrigerator, to bringing us food in the Bridal suit because we can't make it to Cocktail hour, to bringing us food on our table during the wedding day so we don't need to stand up and go to the buffet, to having us some food to go, to checking up on us every time if we need something (we really appreciate you Bill).

We had booked this location for our wedding that was supposed to take place this past July, that ended up not happening. We were in love with the venue and so excited to be married there. I was understanding throughout the pandemic, there was gaps in communication and broken promises. I was patient thinking things were going to work out and they did not. We were never contacted for anything, a tasting, our room block etc. The few times I reached out I was assured things were going to work out then after a few phone call attempts I found out my contact was no longer working there. I eventually said okay maybe lets plan for a date in the future. Then we were called the week before our “wedding” by the new hire, he said “so are you getting married next week?” He was extremely rude, lacked compassion or any sort of customer service. I replied that since we had never had our tasting, or gone over any details we were not having our wedding the next week. This completely ruined the experience for us and I am disappointed I ever gave them our money. Seeing as they refused to give any back.

Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else. I’ve been a maid of honor several times and no other venues I have ever attended would EVER treat...
