LOFT — Local services in New York

One additional star because from what I can tell their sales do make things normal price. Not on sale the items are not the quality that would be appropriate.

I certainly can't figure out where anything is or how it might be organized. The sizing from piece to piece is not consistent. Such a weird, weird place. Personally, I think they should have a whole rack of classic, black cardigans, but no one is ever able to tell me have even one.

I ordered a plain black cardigan online (well, three of them in different sizes because my experience has been a mess), and I do like it. If was easy enough to return the others to the store, which is a couple of blocks...

Their clothes are lovely, and the sales are great but the customer service towards their younger demographic is questionable. As a younger woman I noticed the employees tended more towards their older customers which is fine, until they actually started complaining about me. I took 5 items to the dressing room and could hear one of the employees complaining about how she didn’t like when customers took a lot of items to try on. This isn’t the kind of customer service that is presented to their older demographic, and I believe they need to work better on being open minded...

I mentally steel myself against the urge to buy new things but the window displays of Ann Taylor Loft call to me. However, I do not allow myself to pay the full retail price for something at Ann Taylor Loft. Why? Because patience is rewarded. Whatever it is that I want is bound to be marked down in the coming weeks.
