I am an African American woman. I walked into this store on June 5th, 2023 in the late afternoon after visiting the World Trade Center Monument. I walked 2 rotations around the store which had 2 customers and 3 visible LV associates. One associate -female- was carrying on a personal conversation while she was behind the counter the other 2 were helping customers. Never ONCE did someone greet me. I just stood in front of the counter where the bag that I was interested in was placed. The whole time I was standing there, the female associate carried on her conversation and said not a single word to meā¦.. In comes a briskly walking Asian woman. She stands quite antsilly while looking at her bag of interest from my side of the counter. All of a sudden an African American gentleman(Manager)came and greeted HER( never me) and proceeded to help her with her decision making process. Iām still standing there, the female associate is still conversing with her friend, the associate that was helping someone in shoes finished and walked by without any acknowledgement that I was standing there.. THEN IT HAPPENED, I reached the point where I could not continue to stay silentā¦. Another African American LV associate came around the counter to help the Manager help the Asian customerā WHILE I STILL STOOD THERE UNACKNOWLEDGED!!! What!!!! It was at that point I said, āExcuse me! Am I invisible??ā The Manager no said he thought I was with the Asian customer but NOTHING would have given him that indication.. I left the store disheartened, it will be a VERY LONG time (if ever) that I patronize a Louis Vuitton store again as this is not the first ( although the worst) time I felt slighted...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery disappointed as how LV employees treat their potential customers. Last week Wednesday, I went to this store after work trying to see if they have the bag I am interested. I work in Healthcare, and finally can go back out and enjoy my days post the height of pandemic last year, I have decided to treat myself with a LV bag. I showed up to the store with my casual after work wear, this security guy standing in the middle of the door, he greeted me and asked if I have a product in mind and he can check for me. I showed him the bag on phone, he searched it in his tablet and said they don't have it in store nor online and not sure when will be restocked. That was the end of it. He still blocking the door, not offering to let me in nor if I want to see other bags they have in store. From a business perspective, it blew my mind that he didn't even offer the options. I could go in to the store and see something else I like that I would buy. But no, none of that. I got blocked and filtered out right at the door. Maybe the way I dressed was too casual to their standard? Nowadays, you can't judge someone by how they look. Surprised LV still doesn't that. I have other branded bags, was thinking it would be nice to have a LV too, but now I have to think twice about it. LV, you need to work on your customer...

There can be a stigma around walking into a Luxury Story like Louis Vuitton because sometimes brands make you feel like you donāt belong or judged based on your age, ethnicity, and what you are wearing. This was not the case at this Louis Vuitton store. I am a college student who was with friends and had no intentions on buying anything the first time we walked in. Before Jenisa even knew we were college students on a field trip she went out of her way to make us feel like we belonged in the store. She was able to answer any of the questions we had about their store location, the brand as a whole, and any of the products. Even after we bought nothing, Jenisa went out of her way to make us feel included like we were repeat customers. Eventually I went back to the store and I ended up buying a pair of pink Heels. That will probably be my only Louis Vuitton purchase until I have a real job out of college. Ask for Jenisa she will give you an incredible experience at this location & regardless if you are looking, making a once in a lifetime purchase, or a repeat customer.
