Davidoff of Geneva — Local services in New York

Davidoff Downtown is always a fine experience. The retail space is well lit and spacious and the lounge is comfortable, well-ventilated, and chill. The humidor is displayed very nicely and fully stocked with Davidoff’s superb offerings as well as other top of the line cigar makers for every taste and price point ~ my personal favorites are Davidoff’s The Late Hour and Camacho Barrel Aged.

The sommelier’s are knowledgeable, patient, good humored, professional and have never steered me wrong. My particular favorite staff member is a gentleman who goes by Smiley. He lives up to his name and is always a pleasure to deal...

Until today's visit i would have given this place.5 stars. The change has nothing to do with the nice and informative staff but with a new policy handed down. Before i could go in buy 1 cigar for Pavel he could sit smoke in a clean comfortable environment where we could both enjoy ourselves. Now we have to buy 2 cigars ie one for each person. I dont smoke so Pavel then will get 2 instead of the 1 he wanted. Sometimes we would splurge on a high end cigar. But that wont happen anymore. And with as empty as the place is tonight i bet others like myself are hesitant...

This Davidoff location is an outstanding spot to have a cigar if you are in the downtown area of Manhattan. The lounge is beautifully done and the cigar selection is outstanding. On a side note, you can become a member or buy an expensive day pass to smoke at this lounge but they do not serve alcohol so just keep that in mind if your looking for a drink and a smoke. $100 for a day pass is pretty ridiculous though, when I was there all you had to do to enter the lounge was buy cigars.
