Book her now! I cannot say enough positive things about Luciana. She is professional, efficient, caring, creative, and an amazingly talented photographer! She is one of the few photographers that I can honestly say can capture mixed families with a range of skin tones and make everyone look beautiful! The photos that you see on her website are really that good and I am honestly blown away each time we do a photoshoot with her. We have done the newborn photoshoot, the 1st birthday cake smash, and family holiday photo sessions and have been extremely happy with each one. It is definitely worth the investment!!!

And for those that might want a little more detail on my reasons for loving Luciana, I had a very traumatic delivery with my twins and had a longer recovery period than most. I was very distraught because I missed the 2 week window for newborn photos and was about to give up when I was referred to Luciana. She was very understanding and supportive of my situation and worked with me when other studios wouldn’t. I was also very self conscious about my looks after having babies, but Luciana made me look and feel beautiful and I couldn’t believe how good the photos turned out.

In addition, I am neurodivergent and usually have a difficult time working with vendors because of their lack of understanding or compassion for how I operate, but this is not the case with Luciana. She is patient, gives incredibly detailed instructions, is transparent and listens to your requests and needs. She really tries to see your vision and make it come to life, and when you are struggling to find a vision or decide on which pictures/packages to get (especially when suffering from “mommy brain”), she will work with you until you have landed on something you love. When it came time to book our newborn portrait session, there was no question that we were booking with Luciana. We had booked Luciana about a year prior for our older daughter's birthday cake smash. Even though Luciana reassured me that we "got it" during the shoot, I left in tears because our 1 year old was NOT having it that day. My jaw dropped when she sent me the gallery. I could not believe that despite the tears, cake falling over prematurely and clinginess to mama, Luciana did in fact "get it." Now that 1 year old is an energetic, free spirited 2 year old, and I knew that I wasn't going to book anyone else. Luciana was SO patient and warm with her and if we wanted at least one family photo, Luciana was the one to do it.

I had full faith that she captured a few images but once again exceeded my expectations. The fact that she got the family photos that she did with our Tasmanian devil running into closets and hiding under the table is BEYOND me. It's a true testament to her artistry. We spent a lot of time and research before selecting Luciana as our newborn photographer, and we couldn’t be happier with the final results. She has an excellent understanding of creating different lighting styles and created beautiful studio images (including some high key images and b&w imagery that really highlighted her talents both behind the camera and in post-editing). She went above and beyond to create some images we had requested, including images of our newborn and our elderly dog which captured moments that we will cherish for a lifetime. Final images turned out amazing, and the album we ordered was equally well designed.

We also greatly appreciated her splitting our newborn session into two to ensure capturing our son while he was still a newborn (and I was recovering from some unexpected medical issues), and creating an opportunity to be a part of this experience to create some memorable family images a week later....
