I saw the good reviews and decided to try this salon out. I would NOT recommend for a few reasons!
The brush, scissors and tools they used were not clean. I wish I spoke up at the beginning. After my haircut was done, I saw the stylist package and put back all the tools she used on me, so it was ready for the next customer without cleaning it though. This was not hygienic and for this reason alone I would not come back.
The haircut I received was decent. However, I noticed one section of my hair had a very choppy look to it and when I mentioned this to the stylist, she said she didn't touch that area and that was how my hair was before, which I don't believe. She didn't offer to fix it either. The blow dry was also very rough and pulled much of my hair and she did not use heat protectant.
I had called prior to coming in to ask if they were accepting Groupon (just to double check). They had told me, they would be able to price match it and for me not to buy it on the site. Fast forward to when I was paying, they were telling me they could only honor $66 instead of the $46 Groupon was showing. (The difference was due to a Groupon discount which I understand their point-of-view). I told them I would just buy the Groupon as that was the most cost-effective option for me and it was met with some whispering and difficulty. I then had to wait for the voucher to go through and after I paid and was on my way out the door, I was called back and asked to pay $4 for tax. I was told by the manager it was required with Groupon. The manager mentioned it was stated on the voucher so I pulled the voucher up and that detail was no where to be found. I asked more about it and just paid the $4 to get out of there. It just is odd to me that this was not mentioned the whole time I was waiting for the voucher to be redeemed or when discussing the Groupon situation.
Overall, this salon may be great for some clients but due to my experience, I would not recommend, especially for those that prefer clean tools used...
Read moreI came for a balayage last week and was not initially happy with the results but the owner reached out to me to come in for a complimentary redo, which I did appreciate! The first time I felt that the color was off/inconsistant and that it was more of a highlight/babylight situation as opposed to a Balayage.
The second colorist (Brunilda - I highly reccomend her for anyone coming in!) paid very close attention to detail to ensure I would be happy this time. She made sure to clearly understand what I wanted this time and took the time to look at photos I came prepared with. The amount of time spent on my hair the second time versus my first time there was nearly double. I was happy with the redo and the color and she addressed my concerns from the first time. I did feel bad for not tipping the second time but was still slightly annoyed I had paid almost $100 for toner and tip on top of the "Balayage" on ClassPass for something I wasn't happy with. (I'm not sure how salons handle redos when its a different stylist/colorist)
The only con the second time around - when I first came in the salon it was slightly awkward because I could hear a male stylist saying that I was probably going to complain again, etc. Not sure if he expected me not to give my honest opinion in a review and if he knows that I was contacted by the owner to come in for a redo (i didn't specifically ask for one) but it didn't feel very...
Read moreI was unable to receive the service I purchased through a Groupon voucher, which included a single process color and deep conditioning. Although the salon redeemed my voucher upon arrival, I was told they couldn’t perform a single process on my hair. I didn’t require any special treatment; just one color, one application, as clearly stated in the offer. Despite this, they insisted I needed additional services and asked me to pay extra. I regularly color my own hair at home using one tube of dye, and I simply wanted to try this salon. Unfortunately, it felt like they were trying to upsell me unnecessarily. I had already paid $70 through Groupon and was planning to tip on top of that, but I didn’t think it was fair to pay more for services outside the agreed offer. What made the experience worse was that they didn’t offer any alternatives or accommodations; such as skipping the deep conditioning, which I would’ve been fine with. The conversation felt misleading, and there was no effort to resolve the issue. I ultimately decided to leave, as continuing the discussion seemed pointless...
