Yesterday I was craving for Cantonese lobster, I went to Shun Lee West and guess what they did not have lobsters, too expensive they said.
Today I stopped by at the local Dimsum garden. I had great fun with the lobster. David has accommodated me and cook the lobster Cantonese style, for a little bit extra I added some noodles....the result I great lobster. They have liquor license now ( I did not enjoy Sapporo beer that much ) but the rest was great at a great price....I really really recommend it. I am posting the pictures for you to judge. Thank you David for being so accommodating.
I have been coming here even before Google maps recognized it. They have a testing platter that is very popular. I prefer anything with shrimp, you can see the shrimps and the dumplings are completely full with them. The Pan fried one ask to be slightly pan fried. Today the kitchen chef Kang was excellent. I have tried other diches the Seafood Chow Fen, the sticky rice, the Shanghai soup...all very good. Come now that the restaurant has just opened ( well a few months ago). They can be a little bit inconsistent but they are really good. The service is fast and polite. I have not taken out, I like the place. Good adicion to the neighborhood. ( I see there is a new location opening soon, in Madison Avenue between 32...
Read more1st off - terrible service. Very rude and not professional. Went to Lunch with a colleague and we wanted to split the bill. We were leaving an 18% tip which was fair for a lunch. THEY REFUSED THE TIP AND SAID THEY WONT ACCEPT PAYMENT AT ALL UNLESS IT WAS 20% OR MORE. they were so rude. Especially since they were rude sitting us, did not bring us out drinks until the food came, and never checked in. 18% was even generous.
Then we finally stood ground and shared that tip is customer’s choice even after the rude service, they finally took payment from us.
They charged me the entire bill and then still charged the 2nd card. So they OVERCHARGED US after we left. I have the receipt to prove that one card was only to be charged $70 and the receipt was to prove it and then on my bank statement MORE WAS CHARGED LATER FROM THE RESTAURANT AND MORE WAS CHARGED ON MY COLLEUGES CARD.
It’s one thing to provide bad service but to OVERCHARGE LATER AFTER THE INITIAL TRANSACTION ON THE CARD. They are thieves, rude and liars. I wish I never went into this restaurant....
Read moreI was staying near by this dimsum restaurant and decided to try it with my family. Walked in around 9pm. Ordered and waited for 15 mins. The fried rice i ordered did not have any flavor in it, the dimsum i ordered was good. I asked for chili oil and the old guy was annoyed that I asked, even told me in a annoyed way that next time ask the chili oil in advance. He was annoyed that I asked for it. Another thing that bothered me is that he rudely refused a customer that walked in at 920 pm. She walked in and even said I was rushing to get here on time. So she traveled to get to this restuarant only to be refuse service 40 mins before they close. I get that business owners have the right to refuse service but be considerate for people that travels to visit your business especially if you have your business operating hours up to 10 pm. I won't be coming back to this restaurant. I felt bad...
