Malin Landaeus — Local services in New York

I recently had a disappointing experience at Malin Landaeus, a vintage store in Williamsburg. I purchased a corset at a very high price, but unfortunately, it did not fit properly. After discussing the necessary alterations with the staff, I felt optimistic about resolving the issue. However, the day after my purchase, I returned to the store after consulting with a tailor who informed me that the necessary alterations couldn't be made. To my dismay, the store refused to issue a refund. Instead, they offered me store credit valid for a year. As a tourist, this option did not help me at all, as I wouldn’t be able to return to the store within that time frame. This experience was frustrating and left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I expected better service and understanding, especially considering the circumstances surrounding the purchase. I hope this review encourages better customer service practices...

I am boot-obsessed and I recommend this store to all vintage lovers when they are in NYC! Malin is so, so, friendly and all her employees are incredibly helpful and friendly as well.

After several days deliberating over committing to buy a (now my favorite boots I have) pair of boots, everyone was so patient and was happy whether I ended up purchasing or not.

When I started wearing the boots, the sole came off just a bit so I took them back to the store and malin without any hesitation took them to a cobbler for me and got them back to me w quick turnaround.

Love it here, such a fan girl! Price point is high but love supporting such a well curated and high...

I just bought my wedding dress here today!!! It was the most magical experience. I was immediately greeted by two lovely women working there. From the second I got there, they made me feel comfortable browsing through the incredible pieces. I feel like a lot of vintage stores I’ve been to have the opposite approach, like they really don’t want you touching the clothes. I felt encouraged to try on the dresses I liked and they even made incredible suggestions (one of the suggestions being my wedding dress!).
