Medical Imaging of Manhattan — Local services in New York

I have been going to medical imaging for more than a decade and I have to be honest this is this visit felt different.

Here’s why: everyone knows that mammograms are not fun. And somewhat uncomfortable. But this session was unbearable. I was on the brink of passing out from pain. Intolerable pain. When I conveyed my yelp, the answer led me to think the tech was more concerned about her perform review than my well being. She clearly went over the top with the squeeze.

I typically have a bone density exam every two years. Every exam is followed by a knowledgeable Consult. This exam was followed by a consult that was limited to suggestion I see my pc

I like Dr. Tapper. I hate everything else about this place.The ambiance is strictly free-clinic. After filling out endless forms ( I’m not a new patient) I spent two hours there, most of it sitting in my gown in a hallway, because the waiting area was filled. And yet the prices are luxury class high. They used to offer a discount for Medicare patients ( they don’t take Medicare - or any other insurance) No more. It cost me over a Thousand dollars for a mammogram and breast sonogram.I’ve been going to this place for over twenty years. precisely what I was looking for in an imaging facility. Skilled doctors who offered and took time to explain results on the day the images were taken. Having been to two other imaging facilities in Manhattan and having had horrible experiences at both facilities, my experience at Medical Imagining of Manhattan was totally different. I am sure the low rating on google simply reflects the fact that it isn't fun to write a public review of a mammography clinic. The morning did not go quickly but it was worth it to get such a thorough evaluation and to be able to speak directly with a radiologist.
