Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar at Loews Regency Hotel — Restaurant in New York

Loved this place and came back for a second day in a row. I had my 7 week old son with me and I ordered a soup and sandwich so I could sit down to nurse him before we headed home. I asked the cashier if he could grab me a stool to sit inside so I didn’t have to nurse him in the cold outside and he said no problem (we sat inside the day before). But when he went to ask the manager she said it was not possible as they don’t put the stools out until 4p. I asked for an exception to feed the baby and she said no (it was not busy). I had to ask for a refund and they actually poured the soup from the bowl they dished up back into the larger caldron!! She was extremely rude. Pretty good coffee bar en Manhattan, interesting and conceptual atmosphere, tasty coffee and variety of pastries. We had an experience today, we were looking for a cozy place to avoid the rain and drink a hot beverage and then we found Sant Ambroeus Caffee.

I liked the coffee of the day, which was a suggestion (coffee with hot chocolate), and a classic Macciato. Also we ordered something sweet to share.

Of course we are coffee lovers and this is a good option, specially in rainy days. Another important thing to consider is that the place has a spacious table-area 8n the outside, wich is nice because there is enough distance between tables.

wow. this is my reaction to Sant Ambroeus chocolate mousse cake and Gianduia hazelnut sponge. This was a delicious experience. The hazelnut wins an award from me 👏 The inner crunch is amazing. I had it to go, the box is lovely, overall visit was quick, pleasant. It's a sophisticated little spot. Next will try the savory dishes. The only confusion was when the man who was putting my order together moved aside all the cake slices that were closer to him and gave me the first furthest piece. I'll just assume it was the freshest and most delicious. 😄 The girl that took my order was pretty and polite.
