My experience with this hair salon has been a hit or miss, haircuts from Jason was always good. The last time I went was a week ago, and I felt as though they did not know how to maintain a conversation or mind their own business. I have a keloid from a while back and have been receiving treatment for it, instead of minding their own business, two guys decided that it was their business to mention it as if I did not know it exists. One even did as much as suggest that I receive treatment for it and questioned why I got the piercing. When I receive a haircut, I do not also expect judgment about something that has nothing to do with them. It’s not a good suggestion because I have already been receiving treatment, a good suggestion from me is to mind your own business. I've visited this salon multiple times since its opening. The service is ok, and the pricing is reasonable around this area. However, I've grown frustrated with the receptionist repeatedly suggesting additional tip amounts even though I've already tipped $30. They informed me that the minimum recommended tip is 18%, which is higher than what I've given. This approach feels disrespectful. It seems my $30 tip wasn't appreciated, and it’s not substantial for them. I believe tipping should be at my discretion, and this experience has left me feeling disheartened. Finding a good barber is no difference from looking for a good partner of life. After my previous hair stylist relocated to a different state, I was searching for a good hair stylist in Queens for my haircut. I randomly found this place in the center of Flushing right off the Roosevelt Ave. I felt the friendliness as soon as I walked in. I was greeted by my hair stylist, another Wilson;) He took me in immediately and spent enough time with me to discuss which style I'd like to have then let me decide between a few styles he thinks will look the best on me. I'm extremely happy with the result and I will highly recommend Wilson to anyone who's looking for a good hair stylist in Flushing area. I will definitely come back to him...
