I frequently visit NYSP for the adult programming, particularly MTG (but they’ve even introduced me to D&D which was a blast and I intend on joining more campaigns in the future.) Playing there is a great experience because everyone is welcoming, if you’re missing something like dice or a playmat the store or another player will loan it to you, and overall it’s just easy to connect and make friends. I’ve also had the pleasure of being around during one of their kids MTG and Pokémon classes and the way the instructor engages the kids and teaches them the mechanics is such a delight. I wish I had sent my child there when she was younger. I recommend this to anyone who wants to find a nice, friendly space to play, and if you have kids that are interested in tabletop games, it’s a great place...

We live in a world where children often get leftover resources, and New York Society of Play really steps up to the plate with their programs. Both of my sons have had a blast in their virtual programs. Especially D&D! They love it!
As an Ohio parent, I'm elated that there are easily accessible children programs that do more than just 'take up time'. My boys do not realize how much they are learning about diplomacy, genuine conversation, and team-based problem solving at NYSOP, while having a blast and meeting new people virtually.
