My doctor recommended them, so I went for x-rays. though it was not very busy, front desk staff were totally indifferent. Technician was too, but warmed up a bit once I made an effort to joke with him (hard when you're in pain, but we do what we have to). Real problem was getting a copy of my images to take to my PT. No info. about the portal was given when I left. My doctor was able to send me a written report, but not the images. NYU portal, once I found it myself, doesn't show any record of my visit or file. Imaging front dest staff says I have to come in person to request a CD, which my PT is unlikely to be able to view--I've gone through this before, many times. They also told me they "don't work with" the NYU portal people, but I can call a number "to complain." I did call, hoping to get help. An automated system "can't verify" my identity, promises to transfer me to "a specialist," and disconnects me. Multiple times. Stay away from them if you're in need of serious...
Read moreIt’s amateur hour at this facility; bickering amongst the staff and I have true doubts about the abilities of the technician. It begins when he dosen't offer you an additional robe or cloth to cover your entire body and you are clutching your clothes to cover. He cannot accurately explain the positions for the x-ray and take into account that you are in pain and have limited mobility. When you try to get into position you are stepping on thick cords and cables. Then, on the table, he puts the pillow about a mile away of where you are supposed to be. He also does not offer you the step onto the table. You have to put it there and back yourself. Finally, the place is dirty and unkempt. This is a far step down from the NYU facilities in Manhattan but it’s simply convenient if you are in Brooklyn. Next time better wait to get to NYU radiology in Manhattan which is nice, clean with up to date equipment and technicians you feel confident in and competent in...
Read moreThey're definitely struggling there. From rude front desk attendants to technicians that send wrong reports to the doctors. I had an MRI done WITH contrast (they convinced me to sign the waiver to use the contrast although the DOCTOR DIDNT ORDER IT) and their report said no contrast was used (although they filled an insurance claim saying they used it). I called as per my doctor's request to ask why and they tried to convince me they didnt use the contrast - IT WAS INJECTED IN MY VEIN!!!! The lady asked the technician and manager and they didnt know what say. They asked me to speak to my doctor (??) as they couldn't answer my questions anymore. HORRIBLE. I still have no answer and will file...
