Goodwill NYNJ Donation Drop & Mini Shop — Local services in New York

Staff is horrific. I lugged 30 pounds of high end (free people, Nordstrom etc.) clothing on the subway to make it here. Arrived at 550 to the store shuttered despite a 6 pm close time. I knocked on the window to drop off my clothes as I assumed they were perhaps closed for shoppers but I could still drop my bags of clothing off. A woman screamed through the door- CLOSED! And mockingly waved goodbye. I told her the website says they are open until 6. She said they stop taking donations at 530- if that's true, I don't know why the entire store was shut with the lights off at 5:50- but either way, I said they website doesn't say that, but I'll keep that in mind for my next trip but the website says 6 and I'd love to drop off all of the bags. She waved and yelled through the window "you're not special!" I told her I'd leave the clothes at the door and she can take them inside then as the website says they close at 6, she opened the locked door and started yelling. I sadly threw the clothes in the trash, as I couldnt carry them another 30 blocks. I will never return and will never donate to goodwill again....

Please.Put.Donation.Time.Updates.On.The.Front.Door.

They change literally every time I go there to drop things off. A month ago, the associate in the front told me 6:00 PM was the cut off time but just last week someone els told me it was 5:45 PM.

They also will occasionally throw in the "we aren't taking any more donations today" card which I TOTALLY understand, but again, COMMUNICATE THIS ON THE FRONT DOOR.

It's not that hard folks. Provide daily updates so there aren't any more lapses in...

DO NOT DONATE HERE! This location is a scam, I’m pretty sure they are stealing donations. They do not sell any good items. I myself have donated some mid-tier brands in great condition and they do not appear in the shop despite this being the “high end” boutique. This is the only Goodwill location that I’ve been to that is like this. When I donate elsewhere, I see my items on the racks. Never at...
