Cositas Café — Restaurant in New York

I was reminded of exactly why I love this café when picking up some pastries today:

• The coffee is delicious and everything is made with attention and care. • The décor and music make me smile every time I walk in. (When is the last time you can say that about any chain eatery?) • The women who own and operate the café are super friendly, always greet you with a smile and are clearly very competent at running a business. Such an amazing addition to the UES!

First time we visited, we wanted to try out some of their gluten free baked goods but they were cross contaminated. We mentioned that, and the next time we went, they had separated their case and labeled items clearly!!

They also sell Nadas empanadas with a dollar markup, which is well worth not having to travel to Greenwich.

Lastly, their drinks are amazing too, try the Colombian hot chocolate if you’re looking for...

Delicious coffee! Food includes empanadas (with vegan options) from Nadas in the West Village, along with some Colombian breads like pan de yuca. Really friendly staff and cute shop.
