Penthouse Recording Studios NYC — Local services in New York

I never write poor reviews but given that I dropped $300 on a studio session that resulted in unlistenable songs... I have got to say something. Based on the previous reviews I thought this studio was going to be fantastic - I should've quickly realized that those reviews were for their A-room... I booked the B-room and I don't even know where to begin. The room was the size of a broom closet, it was hot and stuffy. There was no booth to record in, the mic was literally right next to the engineer. In the songs I recorded you can literally hear the sirens passing outside, and picking up other background noise. Additionally, the mixing and mastering that was done for the songs I recorded were, respectfully, terrible - and I'm going to leave it at that because I don't want to hurt their feelings. I had to rerecord all my songs at another studio. Don't bother booking the B-room because you will be treated like a second-class citizen. Every time I'm reminded of the fact that I dropped $300 on absolute garbage recording and mixing, I can't help but feel catfished by these 4.9/5 stars this...

I was fortunate enough to be invited to an event hosted in Penthouse Recording Studios, and was excited to see what a recording studio in the middle of New York City looks like and it completely met and exceeded my expectations. I walked off the elevator and stepped into an elegant, professional work place with industry leading minds greeting me with kindness and welcoming attitudes. Jesse showed me around the state of the art studio with professional grade equipment and the New York City view balcony was a plus! Although it was a marketing event with many people in attendance, they made it a point to keep the facility clean and I felt as though Jesse made it a point to treat everyone like they were the (main guest) and everyone in attendance with respect. After looking at a few studios to record in, this is definitely the studio I will be...

I am beyond grateful that one day I sat down, Googled recording studios, and found this incredible Penthouse Studio. From the very first moment, owner Jesse took such wonderful care of me, listening to exactly what I needed and delivering more than I ever expected.

I came in wanting a demo, and Jesse connected me with the most talented videographer, Ford, who captured my vision so beautifully. The sound was perfect, the video was stunning, and together it truly made my dream come true.
