Rachel's Garden — Local services in New York

I moved a few blocks away from this store a few months ago. Because of my job, I ended up in the store at very late at night, almost everyday. Somehow, the i was dealing with the late night manager of the store all the time... This gentleman (who has a unique hair style) insisted to be rude, underestimate and treat me as he does not want me over there... And I insisted to remain as a nice customer. I am ready to document all the debit cards swipes I made in that store!!! Cut it short, I shopped in the store two nights ago and purchased food cost of $43. (Still Saving the receipt ) The bread I bought was tasting super weird and i took only that item back and told him that the item was tasting weird... Asked him to check the item. This gentleman ( the night manager of the store with the super nice hairstyle) told me that he can not. Because he was fully loaded with food!!! Refusing to listen, emphytise or standing behind the product that he sold to me... Super rude manager with super unique hair style... Hope somebody...

Really sad to be writing this, but unfortunately feel like this needs to be highlighted. I have been a loyal customer and go to Rachel’s often for quick hauls and late night grocery runs. Over past few days, have notice both their produce and refrigerated items are not fresh/rotten/moldy. The cheese / meats / other fridges are not being kept at a cold temperature - could see in some thermometers it was over 40-60 degrees Fahrenheit with many items warm to the touch. I bought a cheese and when I opened noticed it had definitely gone bad. Including a photo of the moldy pierogis despite an August expiration date… concerning that I saw them stocking the fridge right next to these but didn’t remove them. Definitely a...

I know the economic climate has been tough so I hate to leave a bad review, but someone is going to get sick from this grocery store. I can attest to the other reviewer who said the dairy/cheese fridge went out and they continued to sell the products — some of the cheese had very long expiration dates so I kept getting bad cheese and had to stop buying it there, which is a shame because the selection is the best in the neighborhood.

ALL of the potatoes are always green as well, meaning extremely high solanine. They've clearly been out for months because obviously they aren't selling. At this point I just don't trust how they store and...
