Do yourself a favor and use literally any other window service - here's a basic recount of my experience:

1. After an initial visit to scope out a simple rubber window seal replacement, they gave me a quote, asked me to pay 50%, and then sent a 2nd technician to do another visit to figure out what was actually needed, so clearly the number they quoted was just made up, and very large.
2. After the 2nd visit, they said they would find "the part they needed from Europe", and then proceeded to ghost me for about 2 months. After multiple attempts to call them, they finally responded and said they would send another guy to finish the job. When this guy arrived, he had no idea what the problem even was, and was not prepared to fix the window.
3. When they eventually returned, it was clear that there actually wasn't "a part", they basically used fancy duct tape on the window and didn't fix the problem at all (there is still a very noticeable draft).
4. Worst of all, the guy refused to leave my apartment until I paid him for the job, incredibly unprofessional and borderline threatening.
5. Every SINGLE time they came for an appointment they were late by at least an hour.
6. Their ad says free in-home consultations. This is just a straight up lie, they tried to charge me $300 for the first visit unless I...

Window Repair NYC is the best of the best! I had contacted 4 contractors before reaching out to Window Repair NYC. None of the four were as responsive, professional and kind as Window Repair NYC.

First of all, their customer service was INCREDIBLE! Working with them was totally a peace of mind. I didn’t need to chase them for anything (I chased that four contractors real hard…). They were so proactive with giving me updates on the status either via email or text: Your appointment has been scheduled, your technician is on the way, your quote is ready… etc. And they gave a phone call to further explain things from the installation approach, material choices, to even “your technician will be 10 mins late”. I had never received this level of communication before and thus was so impressive.

Their technicians were very professional and friendly. They respected my house (shoes-off, paid attention to not messing up the wall painting during installation…). They made all the efforts to get things perfect as I requested.
