⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kazu Nori and it was an experience like no other. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a charming and beautiful ambiance that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

The food, to put it simply, was exquisite. The menu is like a love letter to seafood lovers, offering a variety of dishes that are sure to satisfy. The Toro, sweet and fluffy, was a joy to palate. Savory without being salty, it was a perfect balance of flavors. The rice was perfectly seasoned and fluffy, and the nori was crunchy and flavorful, making it an unforgettable dish.

Next, I tried the Yellow Tail. The rice and nori were again impeccable. The Yellowtail itself had a wonderful citrus flavor - light, tangy, and sweet. The addition of scallions added a lovely onion fragrance that complemented the fish beautifully.

The Bay Scallop was another highlight. It was sweet and creamy with popping icura adding an extra burst of flavor. The Crab was a delight with its full body flavor, bringing forth buttery creamy flavors that were absolutely divine.

But the star of the night was undoubtedly the Monk Fish Liver. It was my favorite dish of the evening, very rich, sweet, salty, and tangy - almost like a sauce. The flavors were complex and perfectly balanced, making it a truly wonderful dish.

One of the best parts of dining at Kazu Nori is the service. Not only do the chefs prepare the food right in front of you, but the service is also quick and consistent, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience from start to finish. The menu is simple to read and the turnaround time is quick. There's always a line but it moves at a good pace and the service never disappoints.

In conclusion, Kazu Nori is a must-visit dining destination. Whether you're a seafood lover or just someone looking for a quick, satisfying meal, Kazu Nori is the place to be. The food, ambiance, and service are all top-notch and deserving of a five-star rating. Highly...

KazuNori? More like MayoNori. They love mayo here. If you're getting a non-fish hand roll (like scallop, crab, or lobster), it will probably have mayo mixed in. It makes sense that the same people who own KazuNori also own SUGARFISH. The mayo couldn't overuse itself over at SUGARFISH (they're too busy drowning everything in ponzu), so I guess they had to do it here.

I must say that I do appreciate their waiting system. It's bar-style seating so if you get there before the rest of your party, you can tell them how many people there are in a group, and then wait in line. That being said, it's best to come with small groups since most of the seating frees up in pairs. I got there on a Thursday at around 5:30 and ended up waiting about half an hour for a party of three.

As for the food, I went with the 6-Hand Roll menu ($29), which includes toro, yellowtail, salmon, bay scallop, crab, and lobster hand rolls. I enjoyed the toro, yellowtail, and salmon. But as I mentioned earlier, the non-fish rolls have entirely too much mayo in them. It covers up the taste of the shellfish, which makes you question its quality. The crab roll tasted exactly like the one over at SUGARFISH - canned tuna. In theory, $29 is a great deal but then when you think about it - is it really though? If half of the rolls aren't good? If you are dying to try this place, I would recommend coming early, bring only one friend or go solo, and stick to the fish.

Tip - just as the Japanese do, there is no tipping here so that was pretty nice. Also, each person automatically gets their own bill so it's probably a good first date spot if you want to avoid that whole awkward...

KazuNori is a phenomenal Japanese Restaurant. Owned by the famous sushi chef; Kazunori Nozawa. Basically, it a is sushi bar/restaurant that services you rolled sushi sets right in front of your eyes. Think it as if you are eating sushi as a wrap. Wrap that is rolled in nori. (Seaweed) The hand rolls are made fresh and handed right to you by the chef. But the chef doesn’t roll the nori too tight as they usually do in sushi restaurants, thus he wraps it loose. So you get the sense that you are eating a Japanese comfort food in a post modern atmosphere.

The ingredients are carefully picked. Rice cookers are like Ferraris. (Kazu Nori mentions this in their website several times) Nori (Seaweeds) are gathered from Tokyo.

We ordered 5 Hand Roll Set Menu for $28. You can pick a set menu or order one by one.

Toro Hand Roll Yellowtail* Hand Roll Bay Scallop Hand Roll Crab Hand Roll Lobster Hand Roll

They were all so delicious and in perfect combination. Hand Rolls are rolled with warm rice, crunchy seaweed and the main ingredient fish. But all the fishes is somehow in spreadable (pate) condition here.

As a a drink; I suggest you to try Mexican Coke which still uses real sugar from sugar canes instead of using glucose syrup. Tastes different.

The meaning of KazuNori says it all; Kazu means "Soften, Harmony, Peace, Japanese Style" and Nori means "Ceremony, Rites, Law, Rule”.

The rest of the ritual is the same as eating in a sushi restaurant; ginger pickle, wasabi and the soy sauce (less salty)…

If you go late you’ll be waiting in the line for...
