There are definitely some really talented technicians here — Asel and Lina have been excellent every time. When I stick with them, everything goes smoothly. But whenever I stray from them, it usually ends in frustration.

I’ve had issues before — like leftover hard gel extension under my nails that weren’t cleaned properly — but at least in the past, they’ve offered to fix it or have me come back in.

Unfortunately, today was a different level of frustrating. I had an appointment with Mahena and asked for an oval shape. After shaping one nail, she showed it to me — I thought she was confirming the shape, but she was apparently showing me the length. I had three broken nails, and it seemed like she was pressed for time, but rather than explain that, she just went ahead and removed all of my gel extensions — without telling me. She didn’t speak English well, so there was almost no communication. By the time I realized what was happening, one of my hands was already completely done.

What really upset me was what happened next. She told the front desk that all the nails on my left hand were broken — which was not true — and even claimed to have a picture (which she did of just the broken nails) What she didn’t know was that I understand Russian, and I heard her making rude and untrue comments. I had three broken nails, not ten, and instead of explaining the time issue, she took it upon herself to remove everything and leave my nails damaged. The dishonesty and attitude were extremely disappointing. Then I got a text message from the business owner, who says that they offered me another nail technician to help fix my nail because she didn’t have time which was a lie. The woman at the front desk clearly told me she doesn’t have anyone else that can help me today- So I said forget it I’ll go somewhere else. This place is just dishonest - Irem is dishonest . On top of everything else every single time I’ve tried to make an appointment almost each time they try to change it around To another person or another time- To squeeze in more Appointments.

It’s unfortunate because there are great people here, but consistency and professionalism seem to depend entirely on who...

I’ve been going here for a few months and have really loved seeing Asel for my manicures she’s really great! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I broke my ankle a few months ago and have been in a cast and was excited to finally try the pedicure as well this time. Since it was for a special occasion I was willing to pay the $100 instead of $35 at my normal place. But I really regret it. :( I would recommend, and I have, going for a manicure but the pedicure was really disappointing. If you’re tall like me (5’10”) it’s not a comfortable experience in the chair bc there’s only one slot to rest your feet. I was also bleeding at multiple points during the treatment and it was very painful. The technician I saw (not asel) was cutting far too much cuticle and then was adding antiseptic after the cuts and it really stings :/ Additionally, it seems she wasn’t paying attention and cut far too low on one of my big toes and it’s now very short and painful and very crooked. I’ll add photos for reference - you can see in the photo how low this was cut compared to the other side. It’s now painful to wear shoes on this foot as well. Bummed I spent the $100 when I could have had a better and less painful result at my tried and true spot. The total experience took 4 hours...

Update 5/2024 - I’m now a regular customer here & I love the service. It makes me really happy to see this business flourish and grow. Irem is so thoughtful, and I don’t think I’ll ever find a nail studio where there is such attention to detail. Not only that, but I’m extremely clumsy & have had to go back to get a nail fix done & they’ve been very understanding about that too. It’s quite literally one of my happy places that I look forward to going back to.

I went for my first European style manicure here with Burcu & it was a great experience. I got the signature gel manicure, I’ve never had a manicure done where there was such attention to detail, my cuticles were in terrible shape & all my nails were different lengths, but she fixed them all up. I can’t wait to see how long these nails last me.

Update: a little over two weeks and I’m still very pleased with how my nails/cuticles look. I live a really active lifestyle and honestly I’m pretty rough with my nails, so I’m sure if I was more careful they would look even better, I’m definitely inspired to take better care of them next time I go which will...

Update: The owner reached out and offered free service for my experience. I don’t live in NY so she offered me a partial refund instead. Really nice of them to do. I’m sure your experience depends on the nail tech you have. This was my first Russian manicure. I thought it looked great when I was leaving the salon. 5 days in there was already lifting on one nail and the next day, four nails had lifted. I was visiting and had to immediately go to a salon back home and get them fixed. A little over $100 with tip. Dirt was getting in from the tip of my nail, it wasn’t properly sealed. There was hard gel on my skin that I had to ask multiple times to be cleaned up before curing, and sides of my nails weren’t fully covered.
