Space 260 — Local services in New York

I went here for an event… I watched the owner of the space act irate and completely inappropriate. She was throwing items and did not care who got hurt. There were centerpieces being hurled through the space as she yelled how much labor she put into the decor. I don’t know how someone can book this space for an event thinking they’ll be safe. Party goers were running around and it was complete chaos. There were in children in attendance and I overheard someone saying their grandmother has a bad heart. I saw the OWNER get physical with a partygoer. Insane. As a matter of fact it wasn’t just a regular party it was a BABYSHOWER. The decor was destroyed. I couldn’t believe how someone’s moment of joy can turn into a night of horror. She seemed drunk and was acting of such. There are so many other event halls near by with owners that will not hurt your guests. Don’t give this person your money. She’ll seem like she is a part of your event and will ruin it. She destroyed her own space, save you’re self the headache and...

Great venue! I had my baby shower here and the owner, Blondale, was amazing and ensured my event was a success. She was always available to answer questions whether by text, email, or call. And I was so appreciative of her flexibility letting the decorator in before I arrived and being patient with us as we were packing up towards the end since we lost track of time having too good of a time lol.

One of the things I loved about the venue was the layout. There's a stage area and separate room with (mobile) chafing stations set up, deep freezer and cooler. Plus there's a nice sized mobile bar. We were even able to set aside a small area in the back of the venue for the kids to play. This is a large facility too, capable of seating 100+ with adequate space to still walk around and socialize.

I’ve had the pleasure to rent out this venue for my mom 60th birthday. I was able to have direct communication with Blondel, she was very patient, sweet, and informative. It was an honor and pleasure to rent out this venue, because the staff was very helpful, very considerate, and extremely accommodating.
